We love some good mood lighting!

It breaks my heart to see people invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into the structure and finishes of the home they're building or renovating and then get lumped with harsh downlights that do nothing to create a sense of atmosphere.

Our moods and emotions have layers – and so does good lighting! You can have a lot of fun with lamp height, material, colour and shape, but if you're choosing a style for by the bed, just make sure the base won't occupy too much precious real estate on your side tables.

When you’re a property stylist, white crisp walls are the norm. While we recommend keeping things simple and sophisticated when selling, it’s always nice to see homes that embrace some personality. We're hiring! Elevate Studio are an interior design & property styling business with warehouses in Point Cook and Newport. Our team is growing and we are looking for logistics crew members to join our team!

Work is physical but not as full-on as regular house moves. Majority of our furniture is light purchased with moving in mind.

Ideally looking for full timers but happy to accomodate students in a job-share scenario.

It’s been a whirlwind few days both personally and professionally for our team and family.

Thank you so much to our beautiful friends, clients and families for reaching out. Your support is everything.

It’s in moments like these that we can reflect on how far we’ve come, from humble beginnings the sacrifices of those who have come before us along with a lot of hard work have culminated in what we have to be grateful for today. So grateful and fortunate to have the best team around us.

I saw a post yesterday that gave me the biggest belly laugh, it was along the lines of “I’ve been stuck at home/ in bed for so long now my grandson is about to take over a chocolate factory”.

We’re all feeling a bit like grandpa Joe over here in VIC, but it’s time to remember that life’s a golden ticket baby! And with a golden ticket it’s a golden day!

They say the most successful people don’t start the day without making their beds. So, to help you live your best life, here’s some bed styling 101.

Linen - you can’t go wrong with a white linen doona cover. Our go to picks are from , and .threads.

Euros - the big pillows. Chuck them on if you don’t have a bedhead, or if you want a more formal look. Feeling creative? So what we’ve done here and add height/ interest with one euro instead of your typical two! We’re also partial to swapping the boxy euro inserts out for feather ones and using them in front of standard pillows instead of behind. We’ll do a reels video soon to show you how.

Throw/ bedcover - our favourite thing to do at the mod section of your bed is fold a bed cover into thirds lengthways and use it instead of a throw. Two reasons- most throws are NEVER long enough for queen or king beds, and if it’s a chilly Melbourne night a bed cover gives you an extra layer of warmth if you open it on up!

Standard pillows - face them up or lay them down flat - one set to match the doona is great and one to match the throw/ bedcover. Bingo.

Scatter cushions - easiest configuration is two identical feather insert cushions with a big of a pattern up front in the centre of the pillows behind. Fail safe sophistication every time. But if playing it safe isn’t your thing, we suggest two or three contrasting cushions- think one pattern one block colour and one textural. Patterned at the front and play with it till they sit right. Feather inserts make it easier and instantly better.

Follow these steps and you’ll be getting it right every time. Trust us, your new bed styling skills will be more timeless and ever-lasting than any gobbstopper.

At Elevate we’re so much more than an interior design business, we’re a family!

In the current climate, naturally a lot of small businesses are struggling. A lot of amazing, talented staff are being stood down or let go, unsure of what their future holds.

Way back in March, I made a commitment to myself that I would do every single possible thing I could to ensure we were supporting our gorgeous team through this challenging time.

I’ve been hustling my toosh off to make sure our wonderful staff are supported just like they support us week in and week out.

It’s been really hard to adjust to this new life, but it’s been super important to me to make it work.

Johannah our senior stylist has been my right hand for the last few years, and life without her by my side has been incredibly weird. I miss so much about our working relationship and the fact that I can’t get her to pull a chair up in the office at a whim has been a huge adjustment.

We’re currently working on some back end systems and processes to improve what working from home at elevate looks like, because frankly the future in Victoria feels extremely uncertain.

I am so so proud as an employer that we’ve been able to retain our full time staff at full salary and incredible grateful we’ve been able to give our casual employees shifts despite everything that’s going on.

I can’t imagine this business without my team, they are the backbone of this business.

As much as its easy to think a band is nothing without the lead singer, the absolute bangers don’t happen without the drums, bass and a killer solo guitar riff. I’m so bloody lucky to be part of the band.
