Been having some fun on the lathe this week.

Bespoke stove guard hand made and painted in the Wight Fabrications workshop in Shorwell.

It compliments the Island Stoves log burner just right.

The variety never ends here at Wight Fabrications. Put the finishing touches on a super classy postless glass balustrade yesterday, and then fitted some extra security measures in a well established Newport shop. All fabricated and painted in the workshop in Shorwell.

I got part 3 of the Fordson/Perkins project done last week. Just assembly and paint to go and it'll be done.

Part 2 of the Fordson/Perkins project was putting some hours in on the lathe making the Fordson input shaft fit the Perkins clutch and starting from scratch with an extended release bearing.

There's a fun little project going on at the moment with this Fordson/Perkins conversion for a local farmer. Part 1 was the flywheel housing used to mate the Perkins engine to the Fordson gearbox.

You don't get much more than this. Apart from galvanising, these doors were designed, fabricated, and painted all by hand at Wight Fabrications less than half a mile from the customers home.

A customer asked for a minor patch up job on his old BBQ. Now it's ready to be enjoyed in the nice weather this weekend.

Did a little home job today to try to tame a honeysuckle in the garden before it starts to flower.
