⚡️ Announced for Thursday September 5th! ⚡️

Ellen Froese is headlining Le Pub!

Ellen is what you'd call a “prolific artist”; committed, too. For someone who only just passed the threshold of their mid-20s, she's amassed a resolutely solid body of work and, with a variety of projects, achieved more than some many years her senior. For Each Flower Growing, Froese's fourth full-length, produced in collaboration with the Sheepdogs' Sam Corbett, is her most accomplished statement to date, drawing on her established sound as a folk & country-based singer/songwriter while incorporating a wider frame of reference in the rich production, supple instrumentation, and overall sonic soundworld. It's much harder to pin down than any simple description can convey, making it all the more worthwhile to check out.

Tickets are on sale now; link below!

Supporting HAWXX on 28th September are GorZ!

Q***r punk band based in Briztol but will conquer the wurld, GorZ are multidisciplinary artists amplifying their voices about societal ills.

Incorporating avant garde theatrics and paper mache props into their live sets, the collective is an audio visual project as much as it is a band. Shedding their skin to talk on topics like skin tags, consumerism and trans rights.

Having played with The Oozes, Tokky Horror, Skating Polly and Snooper they display a graphic insight into the dirty and enraged mind of GorZ.

⚡️ Announced for 18th October!! ⚡️

Electric Hero is the nom de plume of bass player and producer, Chris Clarke; erstwhile Holy Roader (Indie Legend Peter Astor’s ‘90’s outfit), Rockingbird (North London country-rockers), Lost Son of Littlefield (Cult Country outlaws) and Champion of the World (multi award-winning
Americana).

He is a long-time member of London’s finest bluegrass band, Foghorn Leghorn and has run their club at The Betsey Trotwood for the past 12 years.
For over 30 years, Clarke has played bass, engineered and produced hundreds of other peoples’ records; mainly in his very own ‘North London Stax’ recording studio: Reservoir Studios. After being the driving force behind Danny and the Champions of the World for the past ten years, he decided to cut loose and make his own solo album.

With the intention of a fresh start he assembled a group of younger musicians to come along for the ride including his nephew, Elliott on drums and guitar maestro Jamie Alex Pope with Celina Liesegang and Steve Huddleston on backing vocal duty. Holed up at Reservoir Studios, Clarke set to realising the sounds in his head
and wearing his influences on his sleeve!

Festival’s such as the Isle of Wight Festival and Latitude welcomed Freya and her band within the next year and opened doors to sold out headline shows in London and Manchester, followed by support slots for Honeyblood and Republica.

In 2023 Freya released a double headed single 'Fantasy' and 'Galore', to great public acclaim. Manchester’s Finest stapled Freya as “the newest leader of the dark goth pack” as did Time Out London when they featured Freya in their Halloween issue, celebrating the resurgence of Goth culture.

Midnight Rodeo are supporting The Howlers here at Le Pub on Friday October 11th!

Their sound is unique in its combination of a powerful groove laden rhythm section, alongside jangly guitars, theremin-esque synths, booming organs all held together with the ethereal, honeyed vocals of frontwoman Maddy Chamberlain. ⚡️ September Announcement! ⚡️

Tuppenny Bunters come to Le Pub on Wednesday 4th September!

Dave and Fi Dulake became TUPPENNY BUNTERS in 2012, the same year they got married. Fi had been the Hammond player in Dave’s previous band, The Virgo Intacta, who were on The White Stripes “Satan” tour as 1st support.

Parallel to running a notorious Southend music pub, The Railway Hotel, the duo, after naming themselves after Regency prostitutes, set about capturing the sound they perceived, a piano dripping garage/pop wall of melodies and chord shifts.

Their first album was recorded live to a Studer in the cellar of the pub. They released it on their own label, Dansettual; called “A Tuppenny Upright”, the results, while sketchy, present them well.

At times, the piano (a Bluthner upright) threatens to cuddle you to death, at others it appears to be absently flipping you off, and the drums are tuned high, dirty and loonar. If they were cleverer, or could be bothered, they’d be prog. Cooler, or if they both dressed like Fi, they’d be psyche, and if they didn’t constantly feel the need to burst into song, for their sheer sonic nerve they’d be garage.

Their 2nd album “The Tuppenny Hangover” was recorded at Gizzard Studios, and came out in March 2022 on the Dansettual label.

Tickets are available here!

🧩 NOVEMBER 28th!! 🧩

Holy Youth Movement (HYM) are a 5 piece band hailing from Bristol. Their sound is a heavy mix of Rock n Roll and Electronica fuelled by Dance Floor Rhythms, driving Bass and a huge wall of Synthesizers and Guitars, all topped off with soaring anthemic vocals and melodies.

Citing bands like Primal Scream, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Stooges and dance acts like The Chemical Brothers & Underworld as major influences, H.Y.M have managed to combine elements of both Rock n Roll and Dance / Electronica into their immense sound.

After writing songs & developing their new sound they approached legendary Producer Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream, Kasabian, Oasis as well as a host of
dance luminaries; Andrew Weatherall, The Sabres Of Paradise & Soulwax ) to take care of production.

So far, H.Y.M have self funded and released 4 singles & the band have just released their debut 4 track E.P entitled “ The Shock Of The Future”.

HYM signed with Ditto for the release and John Kennedy has once again championed songs from the EP on his Radio X show.

Having previously supported Primal Scream (on their Maximum Rock n Roll tour) as well as The Dandy Warhols and a string of festival performances including Glastonbury, Truck Fest and Beautiful Days, they are now finally announcing their first ever UK tour!

Holy Youth Movement will be appearing live at Le Pub November and their shows are a jaw-dropping live experience not to be missed!
