~ Songs of the Ethers ~ I recently read a beautiful concept about the wind being the medium for music and sound and it resonated so deeply. Quite literally, sound waves travel through air, without air or water, sound cannot exist. This made me think about being near the wild sea with the wind roaring and the elements in full force and how it has the ability to stir up sounds and melody within me. We recently gathered the local surf and yoga community in Newquay, Cornwall for a bespoke Roll & Ride - Surf Stretch workshop in partnership with @yogi.bare and @10oversurf The event took place at the incredible @thezendenwatergatebay with food afterwards from @thehangoutwatergatebay and drinks provides by @pentiredrinks Guests learnt how to use the wheel to help their surfing mobility. J U S T B R E A T H E A little breath can go a long way. Taking a few deep fully aware breaths can help to bring you back into the present moment. Whilst it is important to allow ourselves to feel when emotions arise. It is equally important to keep coming back to the safety of the present moment. Inviting in deeper belly breaths, with longer exhalations can help to ground your body back into the present moment and help to get you out of a fight or flight response. Many people find they envision their most creative and exciting ideas during a sound bath, so bring a journal to make sure you capture the magic. These sunset sessions include insight into the power of sound, guided meditation and a full length sound bath. Wrap up warm and bring extra layers to create your nest. Sound bathing is suitable for nearly everyone, but do get in touch if you are pregnant, have a heart or hearing condition or epilepsy.
