What a lovely gift for the mother of the bride, flowers in this personalised hatbox from bride Amber, who said to include her mums favourite colour orange and we used flowers that matched in with the wedding too.

For the bouquet we used lots of luscious eucalyptus and Amber chose sweet avalanche roses, white lisianthus, eringium (thistle) and gold ribbon to match their pink, navy and gold theme for this small intimate wedding at

Floribunda is 5 years old today! What an amazing ride it’s been so far 3 1/2 years in my shop and 1 1/2 in my home studio! Here’s to many more exciting times and flowery moments ahead.

I thought for the anniversary I’d better do a ‘here’s my face’ post as I’m not really a fan of being in front of a camera or showing my face but it’s nice to show the face behind the business. My favourite moments of weddings are always when I get to give my brides their bouquets in the morning so thought these pics would be a nice share.

I’ve always loved flowers and started my floristry journey at Bicton college way back in September 2011- June 2013 and worked in Florists in and around Exeter. I then moved to New Zealand and lived overseas for three years where I worked for two amazing Florists in Auckland and on the East Coast. Coming home I did further training at the Academy of Floral Art. In June 2019 I moved to Newquay on my own, not knowing a single person and set up the business the very next month based at Trevisker Garden Centre on the outskirts of Padstow where I made many friends. At the end of 2022 I decided I wanted to work from home and now I mainly focus on the wedding side of my business. I still also do flower tributes for funerals and deliver flowers for Mothers Day every year and during Christmas week. I also freelance for other florists. In December you’ll find me selling Christmas wreaths and taking wreath workshops too.
I feel very lucky to live in Cornwall and to have a job I absolutely love, creating weddings for my couples special day is a real honour and I love how every wedding is so different from the next. Here’s what I captured on my Iphone of the stunning wedding of Matt and Abi at Boconnoc Weddings. Looking forward to seeing the professional shots of this one, Boconnoc is such a beautiful venue and Abi chose such a gorgeous summery colour combo for her big day, the scent of all these flowers was just amazing.

Todays lovely wedding of Eloise and Paul was at . Eloise chose a mixture of beautiful roses for her bouquet along with tuba rose, pampas grasses and eucalyptus. If only there was a button on here for the smell as the scent of all these roses together was incredible.

On sunday of this last bank holiday, I got to create some gorgeous florals for the wedding of the lovely Ryan and Rebecca Trevibban Mill Vineyard

Rebecca’s bouquet was a mix of neutrals, pinks and coral tones including roses, peonies, astilbe and scented freesias and we added bunny tails and pampas grasses for some texture and interest.

It was all about the sunny sunflowers for Matt and Lydia’s wedding at beautiful Boconnion yesterday and the sun also decided to show its face too.

Sunflowers always have such a happy energy and we mixed them with daisies, lisianthus and some stunning white peonies for this lovely wedding.

Whilst the weddings have been quiet for these last few weeks, I’ve sadly been busy with funeral work. I don’t share a lot of my funeral work on here but thought maybe I should share some as a reminder that if you ever need a tribute for a loved one, do get in touch and let me know your requests. The colours were for a male and the yellow freesias smelt amazing and the forget-me-nots were a lovely touch.

I absolutely loved these rich burgundy tones and dusky pinks with lots of foliage and wild grasses for my couple Aidan and Jenna back at the beginning of October, it’s one of my personal favourite colour schemes.

The wedding was just days after I lost my beloved Murphy dog and it really helped me in those following days to have this beautiful wedding to create for. Jenna and her sister Tamsin both wrote me lovely messages on hearing of Murph’s passing and Tamsin actually met him in my studio just two days before whilst dropping off a beautiful ribbon for the bridal bouquet and had a cuddle with him so it almost felt like he was a part of this wedding.

Jenna’s reaction when I gave her the bouquet and her tears of joy absolutely made my day and really made me smile. Thankyou for being the sweetest of brides I could have wished for in that time. I always feel so blessed with my job working with such amazing couples and being a part of your special day xx

First little wedding of the year today for Clare and John in ‘the Boat Room’ of the Harbour Hotel Padstow

Classic whites and greens for this intimate family ceremony and the rain decided to stay away too and gave us a lovely spring day.

Finally catching up on sharing some beautiful weddings from 2023. Here were some pictures from the gorgeous September wedding of Kate and Chris Absolutely loved the coral roses and dahlias in this wedding and the added white peacock feathers.

Another lovely workshop with the community of St Ervan in the parish hall, was a lovely way to get everyone together at Christmas time, we had a lot of fun and everyone took home a stunning hand crafted wreath.

Thanks to all who came along to my wreath workshop on Sunday, I had a brilliant time and I think you’ll agree the wreaths created were all amazing, all so different and equally stunning - there’ll be some beautifully decorated doors in Cornwall this Christmas!

Thanks to the Harbour Hotel Padstow for hosting us, what a fabulous view for a workshop and we were even graced with a beautiful rainbow at the end 🌈🐕❤️

As well as the fresh arrangments I also got to create something a little bit different for ‘The Pig’ with these dried Pampas grass arrangements with a star like feel to them for the Morning room and this lovely dried wreath for the reception door.

Trying to take a picture without good lighting proved hard though so excuse my bad photo snapshots!

A Christmas arrangement for the Dining room and two door wreaths in fresh foliages for the front door and side entrance of at Harlyn Bay, one of Cornwalls most stunning hotels.
I also had fun creating a couple of extra wreaths for the treatment rooms made out of herbs and spices such as euclayptus, bay leaves, rosemary, lavender and cinnamon.
