Spaceport Cornwall is inviting schools to book educational tours Students will be able to see the 72ft replica rocket that toured the UK last summer
55 years ago today, humanity achieved the unimaginable. πβ¨
On July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon with Apollo 11, marking a giant leap for mankind. Their journey sparked the future of space exploration.
Thanks to the UK Space Agency's 72-foot replica rocket, stationed in our SSIF, young people can participate in educational tours, get up close to the rocket, learn about the historic horizontal launch, and discover what the future of space holds.
The space scientists and explorers of tomorrow are being shaped today π
Happy Space Exploration Day!

Hundreds of girls attend Cornwall engineering careers festival The 'Reach for the Sky' event took place in a hanger at RNAS Culdrose on Saturday.
TECgirls hosted their 'Reach for the Sky', held at RNAS Culdrose. From meeting pilots to discussing the power of space, it was amazing to see and inspire young women from across the South West.
Our Outreach and Education Coordinator, Fritha Durham, was on the stand with Cornwall Space Clusterβs Dave Pollard during the event.
We had the pleasure of holding a rocket launching workshop, enabling attendees to reach the sky (or ceiling!) with their very own rockets.
