Exec have agreed a Circuit Breaker for 2 Weeks to save Christmas with effect 12:01am on 27th November

THEN:
🛍 Closure of all retail except essential
✂️💅🚘 Closure of close contact, driving instruction (not motorcycle) except for TV production and ancillary to medical health and social care
🍔🍷🍺☕️ Closure of all hospitality (except for accommodation for essential travels) food in motorway services, airports and terminals exempt. (Take aways allowed)
🍷🍻 Off licences open with closure at 8pm
🏋🏻‍♀️📽 🏊 Closure of leisure and entertainment (including all soft play areas, gyms and swimming pools etc)
⚽️🏐🏉 Sporting events only permitted for elite sports. Individual/household outdoor exercise and school PE to continue.
🏟 Elite sports events behind closed doors without spectators.
🏡 No household gatherings other than support bubbles under current exceptions for caring, maintenance and house moves
⛪️👰🤵 Closure for churches except for weddings and funerals. Max 25 for weddings and funerals.

Hi everyone myself an tyrone would like to thank you all for your continued support.
Could not of wrote this yesterday was two emotional 😢😢

The last few days have been a rollercoaster ride mixed emotion to be shut down again due to covid 🦠

But hopefully we get to open the doors once again all been well an hopefully bigger an better this can only make us stronger right? ( I hope ) Unless we kill each other over the next four weeks 😂😂

To all our loyal customers who took the time to come in to the bar an support this week ( you all know who yous are 💞) we thank you all very much at least this time the bar has closed with empty kegs 😂😂

Myself an tyrone took the bar on in earlier feb we had such big plans for it the first six weeks where fantastic with the live bands an a full house every Saturday night 💃🕺🏽 we where blown away in how well it took off so thank you everyone 😘

But in fairness when have had a rough ride due to covid 🦠but we are two strong stubborn people an we will try are best to keep at it so here’s to four weeks 🍺🍺an hopefully no longer. We could not off done it with out you all ❤️

Also Massive that you to our staff Jackie an Orla an my Shea on the odd occasion😂 we appreciate all your efforts as we know the restrictions have been extremely challenging especially after our lovely customers get a few 🍺🍺🍺 into them 😂😂

GROWTH OF THE VIRUS 'BLUNTED' IN NEWRY, MOURNE & DOWN

The Executive have stated that the growth rate of the virus over the last few days across Newry Mourne and Down has 'blunted' and the curve is starting to stabilise. Following the urgent calls for each and everyone of us to reduce our social contacts and follow the basic hygiene advice over the last week, we have stopped the need to impose a local lockdown for now. This goes to show that we can drive the rate of infection down and break the chain of transmission if we all play our part.

The rules around household mixing and a maximum of 6 people from 2 households in your garden remain in place.

Additionally, the minimum fine for a breach of Covid Regulations has increased to £200. A fine of up to £10,000 on conviction is introduced for not closing a business as required under the regulations, breaching the early closing requirement or not implementing measures to maintain social distancing.

Masks are now extended to being mandatory in many other areas, such as taxis, private buses, banks, post offices, credit unions and driving lessons.

The most crucial message remains: Wash your hands, Wear a mask and keep your distance.

Please continue to follow this advice and we can continue to drive our numbers down so that we are not faced with a local lockdown in the weeks ahead.
