Custom rod ends made in high tensile en24t steel
Fresh off the lathe,
Dipper arm bushings for a 13ton excavator.
The customer was having a hard time getting these parts from the manufacturer with any reasonable lead time. Proud to say we helped get his machine back in action quick.
while most are celebrating fathers day we used the time to get some more jobs out of the way.
This time a decorative piece in 8mm cz108 Brass sheet.
It's nice to be able to share what we do, and brass is such a lovely material to work with. stay tuned to see the finished article!
Sometimes it's good to SLOW down and take stock. 😌
Terrible pun very much intended 🤣
We currently have capacity for 3 axis milling.

Sometimes fixing machines can be like archeology, you invariably find something that tells a story. Like how this y axis home switch is the reason the tool changer doesn't work 😐
Big day today as we welcomed our first CNC vertical machining center. This bridgeport interact 720x represents a great expansion in capacity and capability. Now to get it commissioned and ready for work. 💪
New addition to the family, a late 1980s Denford Senior 3c with a Heidenhain TNC155. Now for some much needed tlc before being pressed into service. This little machine is a true rarity with denford only producing 2 of these in 1988!
These early honda dominator front engine mounts are obsolete and our customers ones were in extremely poor condition(See pic below) so we machined a pair from billet 6082 aluminium. Think they turned out alright, customer is certainly happy.
Double trouble, 2 conect cnc lathes. One 121 running mach3 with touchscreen and one cadet yet to be converted. Both machines are based on the robust little myford ml10.
Oh look! A balding beaver.
Context is important to the uninitiated
This Beaver VBRP manufactured by Balding Engineering is a new acquisition. Liberating it from a cold wet yard to give it a new lease on life to mill another day.
Conect 121 cnc lathe in for some due modernisation. This machine is a genuine myford ml10 converted by conect numerical control and fitted from the factory with a proprietary motion controller designed to run from DOS. The lathe will be fitted with modern stepper drives and given the linuxcnc treatment. Giving the lathe higher precision, faster rapids, and much improved acceleration. Not to mention a modern touch screen interface with all the associated bells and whistles. Just look at the size of the little dixon t37 qctp holder, these little machines are awesome.
Just in late last night...
Auto leader blade sharpener/cylindrical grinder
This machine will be tested and made ready for sale in the next few days
Au revoir to the venerable little boxford tcl125. Off to someone with the time to enjoy it.
Off to sunnier climes. The boxford MT2 starts its journey to portugal. Will miss this quirky little mill/turn. But then again its departure paves way for BIGGER and better things.
New acquisition AVM MAS165S cnc lathe with baruffaldi turret. This '85 machine is in excellent mechanical condition despite being stripped of its original fanuc 3t control. It will soon benefit from a touchscreen linuxcnc/mesa setup. A complete single phase conversion with 750w ac servos and 5hp vector driven spindle.
