🎃🎃Halloween Fun with Bolster & Wood Innovations🎃🎃

We had an incredible morning hosting our charity partner, Bolster Buddies, at Wood Innovations HQ!

The day kicked off with a boardroom meeting with our CEO, Edwina, followed by an exciting tour of our offices, showroom, and warehouse. The Bolster Buddies team—creators of beautiful candles and reed diffusers—were delighted to spot their handcrafted items all around our office. We’re thrilled to support such an amazing social enterprise! 🌿

The fun continued with Halloween cookie and pumpkin decorating, and our guests of honour helped judge our annual Pumpkin Carving Competition. After some tough deliberation, Team Technical, IT and HR claimed the win! 🏆

We spoke with Michelle about how becoming a Mental Health First Aider has changed her perspective. She highlighted the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, through the use of everyday language.

At Wood Innovations, we believe that having Mental Health First Aiders in our workplace, not only raises awareness but also offers essential support to staff that are navigating their own mental health journeys.

Congratulations to our amazing Product & Brand Marketing Executive, Maia, who was Highly Commended in the Best Higher-Level Apprentice category. Maia, currently in her second year of her Digital Marketing Degree, impresses us all every day with her hard work within the Marketing Department and is a key member of our Work Well Live Well team.

To our CEO, Edwina Flynn, President of Newry Chamber, leading the charge for progress and innovation within the greater Newry area. We are fortunate to have such a forward-thinking leader and we were so proud to see you onstage last night.

A highlight in our year, Sports day brings everyone together from all departments. It’s the perfect chance for team building - especially with 7 new starts in our Newry office so far in 2024!

From the classic egg and spoon race to the “Laminate Floor is Lava” challenge and the company favourite sponge race, the competition was fierce!
