We were recently awarded ‘Chef Skills Employer of the Year' 2024 at the Skilled NI awards. Applicants should have at least two years’ experience, good kitchen skills, experience of delivering high levels of customer service and working effectively as part of a friendly, dedicated team. Must be flexible to work days and weekends. Hours: Up to 40 hours a week.

Preparing and cooking high-quality meals to restaurant's standards. Working with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service. Must be flexible to work, days and weekends. Wage structure based on hours worked. Pay Range: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Rostrevor Literary Festival
Former Irish President Mary McAleese heads a stellar line-up at the 8th Rostrevor Literary Festival on Saturday, November 9th. She will be interviewed about her two terms as President (and her time in Rostrevor) by festival organiser Billy Graham, formerly political correspondent for the Irish News. Others appearing include Eanna Ni Lamhna, Martina Devlin, Denis Bradley, John McCavitt, Francis Devine and Florence Gillan. There will be music from Matthew McGrath. On Sunday, November 10th Matthew McGrath will lead a ‘Take the Mic’ free event at Crawfords Bar between 3pm and 5pm (followed by Danny McGreevy’s traditional session). Bring a poem, story or song.
Supported by Newry, Mourne and Down Council, the festival takes place at An Cuan on the Shore Road. Tickets are available online at www.tickettailor.com or can be purchased on the day at door (cash sales) although it is advisable to reserve tickets beforehand.

House keeper
Approximately 12 - 15 hours per week depending on need.
Monday to Thursday, start time 10.30am to approx 2pm
Duties include the turn around of accommodation bedrooms and the general upkeep and cleanliness in the guest area of the business. Full training will be provided.

Congratulations to our manager and head chef Bart Blanski, who cleared the deck at the prestigious Skilled NI awards in Belfast. He picked up 'Skilled NI Apprentice of the Year', 'Chef Skills Student of the Year' and 'Essential Skills Apprentice of the Year'. The Rostrevor Inn was awarded ‘Chef Skills Employer of the Year', alongside Belfast’s Ten Square Hotel and Knock Golf Club. It’s a much deserved tribute to Bart’s drive and determination to reach the highest standards.
