Although Halloween has just passed, we have had a lot of enquiries about our Christmas orders already so here’s a quick update:

🎁 Our Christmas Club is open - you can join and pay money off as and when it suits towards your Christmas meats

🎁 Our order book is open for anyone who wants to secure their order for Christmas ✅

🎁 We are working on our Christmas Packs for this year so keep an eye on our page and follow us for updates - we will hopefully have them completed in the next couple of weeks

🎁 All turkeys orders will be RAW from our butchery. Unfortunately we do not have availability to cook turkeys❗️Sliced meats will be available to purchase from our deli counter

🎁 Gift Vouchers are available to purchase all year round in store - a handy gift for someone towards their Christmas meats

The oldest picture we have on the wall of our shop showing Thomas Downey, the man who started T. Downey & Sons, now known as Downey’s Butcher & Deli ✨

Thomas pictured with his meat van from which he sold meat around South Armagh and surrounding areas since 1910, opened the butchery in 1936 almost 90 years ago! 🥩🍖

Many of his children & grandchildren came to open their own businesses in the Newry area, many of which are still operating today! 📑
