Our President, Edwina Flynn and our Board Member, Gemma Murphy attended the launch of the Retail NI High Street Heroes at Parliament Buildings in Belfast.

With the High Street Heroes NI campaign, Retail NI in partnership with Belfast Live, SSE Airtricity, Roam NI and Allwyn UK is giving you an opportunity to highlight and celebrate NI's amazing independent retailers and local high streets.

The High Street Heroes is the biggest ever showcase of our amazing world-class local independent retailers and the huge contribution that they make to our local communities, high streets as well as local suppliers.

These awards are different to most with there being no judges. Instead, all the winners are decided by the public through an online vote. It's the customers that decide who the winner is.

From 1st July 2024, you will have the opportunity to vote online for your favourite independent retailer across 12 categories.

We are excited to announce a new partnership with our neighbours, Centred Soul, a local non-profit dedicated to supporting women’s wellbeing.

The organisation was founded by Rosemary, who experienced perinatal mental illness and birth trauma after her first pregnancy. Feeling isolated and craving community, she envisioned a sanctuary where women could connect authentically.

Centred Soul offers yoga, coffee meetups, counselling, therapy and wellness activities to support women through all seasons of life.

Launching the partnership, our team enjoyed a morning of Laughter Yoga with the wonderful Jennifer (pictured below).
