I'm so sorry but this virus has got a hold on me still. I'm not well enough to open yet and taking it day by day.

So let's see what another 24 hours brings and hopefully I will get to see some of your smiling faces down at the Town Quay on Wednesday. Keep everything crossed please....

As many regulars will know, Tracey is away this week on a much deserved holiday, so unable to cover.

I don't take the decision lightly to not open. I struggle internally not being there for those who are needing us to be open. I also don't earn when closed, which is obviously a factor too.

So when I'm close, I'm closed for a good reason and beyond my control. Please be patient with me I will return soon. # # #

STEAM TRAIN NEWS

On Saturday 24th will be the final English Riviera Express for this year, this time diesel powered from Slough to Taunton. The steam locomotive powering it in South Devon will be the reliable LNER Class B1 61306 Mayflower.

It will be travelling past Newton Abbot Town Quay. around 12.15ish.

For any enthusiasts it's a great spot to be when it comes through, plus you can pick up a cuppa afterwards.
