✨NEW RAFFLE!✨
This item was kindly donated to us following the 2024 Paris Olympic Games by Matthew Curtain (IWF Technical Delegate and BWL CEO), in a bid to help us raise as much money as possible for Lift Me Up and the MND Association charity. We are extremely grateful to for such generosity and are overwhelmed by the level of support we’ve received this year and previous years from everyone involved.
This exclusive 0.5kg ZKC disc was one of only a handful made for the 2024 Paris Olympics. This disc cannot be purchased anywhere and so its value cannot be estimated!
We personally think it would look pretty cool in a frame on a wall 😉
If you would like to win this rare item then raffle tickets are £5 each, enter via the link in our bio. For one month you can purchase 4 tickets and get 1 free.
All proceeds go towards the Motor Neurone Disease Association .
Entries close 31st October at midday.
🐚The Little Ce-Shell Company🐚
Most people know the story behind Lift Me Up - it is a weightlifting competition set up after my Mum - Celia Godley, passed away due to Motor Neurone Disease shortly before the 2021 Olympic Games.
Since then we’ve raised over £30k for the , and my family and I are always searching for new ways to raise money for the charity that is so close to our hearts.
My Dad has started a new venture, named and created in memory of my Mum ‘Ce’ through making these incredible sea shell lights with an LED base.
If you are attending Lift Me Up this weekend, these unique Ce-Shells will be on display and for sale - know that by purchasing one not only are you getting a very pretty addition to your home but the proceeds will go to the MND Association.
Thank you in advance to all those who have supported Lift Me Up over the years - I’m extremely grateful for every bit of time and effort that you contribute towards the event but also your generosity and kindness that makes such a difference in the fight against MND.
Let’s make Lift Me Up #4 the best one yet.
See you in 2 days!
Emily

The Winner of the Eleiko Barbell is… Ethan Grant
Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry to win the Eleiko Barbell. As you may know, rather than base the award on totals lifted, we decided it was best to take a “distance travelled” approach to the winner of Lift Me Up each year. In essence, who has worked the hardest, overcome the biggest barriers and has an inspiring story.
We had some great entries, some amazing people and we are very proud of everyone who took part.
The winner as selected by Polly from Eleiko and Emily, was Mr Ethan Grant.
Ethan has made such amazing progress with his training in recent years, we are incredibly proud to have him as part of the Lift Me Up event. And we look forward to seeing him compete again next year.
One final note, again we would like to thank Polly and Eleiko for this incredibly generous donation of the barbell. Without them, our event could not be the success that it is.
If you are in need of barbells, weights, platforms etc, we would be very grateful if you could give Eleiko a call and a chance for your business. They are an incredible company who we are very lucky to call a partner. We are looking forward to working with them again next year.
Thank you again to everyone who entered the barbell competition. Check out Ethans Instagram at to see him using the bar and even naming it!
While Olympic weightlifter Emily Godley was preparing for the Tokyo Games in 2020, she received the devastating news that her mum, Celia, had motor neurone disease. Sadly, Celia died just 11 months later before seeing Emily compete.
This Sunday, it's the second Emily Godley Olympic Weightlifting Event ‘Lift Me Up’. Last year Emily and the team raised an incredible £13,000. Fellow Olympians and Commonwealth champions will be coming along to show their support.
Emily shared; “Anyone who has experience of this disease will know just how terrifying and traumatic it can be. The MND Association are undertaking as much research as possible to help fight against this awful illness. Progress is being made, but we need to ensure our efforts continue in the ongoing battle."
