🥰🥰🥰 What a HAPPY TEACHER I am! 🥰🥰🥰 Some weeks just flow 🌊🌊🌊It’s just the best when our class members report amazing things have happened or felt in their minds and bodies.It feels like we are slowly chipping away at the disconnection from ourselves, a little at a time.Getting back to actually *feeling* in our bodies, actually being *aware* of sensations, *recognising* and *managing* emotions and *appreciating* our own physical body, our mind, our nervous system… Just a few snippets of feedback from class participants this week…“I never want to come to class. Ever. But I love it when I’ve been. I’m always glad.”“Loved this week. I just feel like I really needed it. I had an achey left leg from my hip all the way down to my ankle. I also felt anxious and irritable at the beginning of the session. By the end, my pain had completely gone and I felt much more grounded and calm ☺️ Slightly achey this morning too. Really enjoying gym and Pilates in the same day, seems to be working 💪 ❤️”“What I have found is, over time, I have become more aware and noticed more from when I first started out.”“Happy 😁I finally got back to yoga. I’m still as unbalanced and uncoordinated as ever and I have no idea what is going on, but I forgot how much I love it 🥰 (Last night, after returning to Yoga) I didn’t even wake up for the loo. That hasn’t happened in forever!”And this, *THIS* is why we do it! 🥰🥰🥰Get back to being present and aware in your body and your mind, with Mind/Body practices. What the HELL is Yoga? Everyone wants to know the answer to this. Most think Yoga is just about the physical practice. Here’s some other things that it CAN be… just off the top of my tiny head 😁⤵️Well… WHAT do you want it to be?💠 Calm time?💠 Quiet time?💠 Anxiety reducing?💠 Space to sit with yourself?💠 No distractions?💠 Moving? 💠 Stillness?💠 Breathing?💠 Holding space for yourself?💠 Having space held for you?💠 Time away from screens/phones/blue light?💠 Being kind to yourself?💠 Spending time with others?💠 A way to improve sleep? 💠 Connection with yourself? 💠 Finding alignment with body, mind and spirit? WHO NEEDS THIS?WHO NEEDS YOGA?EVERYONE! Anyone and everyone living in this modern world, where we no longer really connect with ourselves, with others and with our bodies. Anyone with a demanding or time-consuming or stressful job. Anyone parenting children or caring for relatives.Anyone feeling low.Anyone who turns to other substances to manage their emotions. Anyone, living in this modern world. Now. Today. Yoga is accessible for all. Everyone. All ages. All abilities. But what we can do is create harmony and balance⚖️ in the body . We achieve this via movement, strengthening, watching and observing. Helping you, as a participant, to observe and be aware of your own body, your limitations, your strengths, your imbalances and offering techniques to improve them. The human body is COMPLEX! Every body is different.We can’t guess what’s going on. Just move.Daily.With intention.With awareness. Movement is medicine 💊Motion is lotion 🧴
WHY YOU SHOULD PRACTICE PILATES WITH ME…⭐️The goal of a Pilates practice is to create and maintain a strong, functional and symmetrical body, pain free, with optimal posture, mobility at the joints and a healthy core and spine. ⭐️We use different Pilates techniques and exercises, plus a variety of equipment to ensure you get the most from every session. ⭐️I’m a qualified Level 3 clinical Pilates teacher of 15 years, trained by physiotherapists and Pilates teacher trainers with a wealth of experience. Hello! 👋🏻I’ve been MIA from social media recently…so I thought I’d drop an update. I’ve moved into October at a (very) slightly reduced pace for me (manic!) 😆But I’m still here.
