Sketchy Sunday. ‘Toes in the Sand’. This is my Grand Daughter. Matt graphite on Bristol Plate .

Matt Graphite. Wonderful pencils to minimise pencil shine. I used a lot of 14B in this to get the really dark darks in. ‘Summer Breeze’.

Summer Breeze. On Bristol Plate. Pitt Graphite Matt. Took around 15 hours. Realism takes time 🕰️

Just had the pleasure of drawing this little fella. Mr Dexter. What a handsome boy he was. Sadly he has gone to doggie heaven. Colour pencil on my favourite surface drafting film. Amazing how much detail you can create on this unique surface.

I call this drawing ‘Annika’ because it reminds me of somebody I know. My artistic goal this year is to master people in colour pencil. Not easy! All those subtle skin tones. So I am learning from an amazing tutor .. . Hope you like this one! (Not for sale..keeping this one all for myself!)
