Tamiya 1/48 F-35a
Progress so far.
The kit parts fall together without any issues.
A Eduard cockpit set has been used to give it a bit more detail although there is very little in the F-35a
HR H&R Hobbies LTD Mil-Spec has been used throughout the build so far. M

Possibly the most detailed pier of plastic I have ever seen. Tamiya 1/48 F-35a Lightning II

So after spending 2 weeks developing and working on HR Hobbies “Have Glass Grey” It would be rude of me not to make a start on the Tamiya 1/48 F-35A Lightning II. I now have the extras I needed from Eduard and of course the beautiful Furball decal sheet which includes the 493rd Grim Reapers boss bird decals based at Lakenheath which is my local base for the USAFe. I love the F-15,s from LH but the F-35a is more like an F1 car for the skies. Wasn’t a fan but seeing them in real life, they are an amazing airframe. So going to build this one first, then the new b model from Tamiya which will be a RAF Marham based bird. The new paint we have developed will give you a realistic view of the F-35a’s mettalic Sheen without taking from the FS36170 base grey. www.hrhobbies.co.uk. You asked, so we produced it. The one question that kept popping up at Teford SMW this year was about Have Glass Grey. We took this onboard and as soon as we got home we started the development process. HR Hobbies has integrated 3 other formats into our paint to give you a true HGG look. This will be on our website very soon, if not already
