Working on top of old filler / other peoples work can be a little tricky. Dissolving isn’t always the answer, and as you can see here we were able to really lift and define these lips😍

If you have old filler and don’t necessarily like the idea of a full dissolve we have options available for you! I always recommend a consultation to discuss what would work best for you. Keep in mind sometimes dissolving and starting again is the only option if there is migration and/or lumps present.

✨SAVE THIS FOR YOUR NEXT LIP FILLER APPOINTMENT✨

✅Stay hydrated - filler loves water, it will keep your lips plump and prolong the life of the filler. It also aids the healing process.

✅ No massaging the lips - swelling and trauma under the surface of the skin can create unevenness and the appearance of lumps in the first 2 weeks. This will settle on its own. If you massage you run the risk of moving the filler which could lead to unevenness, lumps and migration.

✅ No Makeup - for at least 12 hours (ideally 24 hours!) as it could lead to infection.

✅Arnica cream/gel/tablets - this helps with bruising.

✅Ice the lips - this will keep potential swelling to a minimum.

✅Avoid touching the lips- at least for the first 6 hours post treatment. Bacteria could transfer from your hands and cause infection.

✅Avoid caffeine, alcohol & ibuprofen - for at least 24hrs as this will exacerbate bruising and swelling which will impact your healing time.

✅ Try and sleep with your head elevated - this will reduce the likelihood of swelling and further bruising over night.

We dissolved (twice!) before refilling these gorgeous lips as a build up of filler over the years had caused migration and lack of definition. Her exact words were “I’ve never had a Cupids bow like it”🌟

These lips will settle roughly 30% smaller as swelling and bruising is present straight after treatment. I cannot wait to see the healed result 💋
