Hey everyone.
I've noticed something interesting in the last few weeks. And want to share these findings with you. Your kids will benefit from it if we do it right.
I had asked many students to write down all the notes they've learned so far in their yellow books (Music diaries that were handed out last winter. PM me if you don't have one).
Some of the students completed the exercise and some kept forgetting all about it (it is not a huge issue, so please don't stress about it).
What I saw was those who completed the exercise were able to play new tunes faster, with more confidence and dexterity. Students who did not complete the task made a much slower progress and were less confident in general.
I understand it's hard to keep track of everything. If/when you can, just give little nudges/reminders to your kids to complete their homework. Their effort at home counts! 😁
ps. I attached a picture of the notes chart (most kids don't know ALL these notes). They can take a look and cope these into their yellow books also writing down the notes' letter names. 👍

Proven demonstration of grade 5 piano (you can be self-taught) is required.
