Returning to Broughton

Manufacturing site in Broughton requested three more roller shutter doors. Two vented (perforated) shutters which enabled airflow but keeps the flying wildlife out and then an insulated shutter for another area. All running smoothly with GFA 3ph safedrive equipment.
Installed over last weekend to minimise disruption on site.

Getting summer ready. Large scale manufacturer over in Broughton required assistance to enable ventilation in summer but keeping the insulated shutter for winter.

Working at the weekend to minimise disruption our engineers installed a perforated roller shutter to allow airflow but keeping flying wildlife out of the building. Custom in house fabricated steel framework enabling the shutter to be fitted in the opening with the current shutter.

Here we have a heavy duty pair of fabricated guides about to be wrapped up and on their way to Scotland.

Shutter on site is approximately 9m wide and 7m high, these guides will be tested by the Scottish highland winds for sure!

Engineers enjoyed this local install to a new & pristine agricultural building. Client required one of our insulated shutters that matched the aesthetics and assisted the insulation values.

Steelwork in the building enabled us to use 3ph inboard motor kit and safety brake set up ensuring a safe operating door for years to come.

Engineers have been over in Chorley this time with a large project fitting out all of the large units on the site consisting of sectional doors, dock shelters, dock levellers and steel hinged doors.

One of the units below showing a basic structure to completion - just goes to show the sheer scale & work that goes in to these sites, a credit to all the industries required to enable this to happen.

Membership time again....

The Team have just been approved for full membership to be part of the DHF - the Door & Hardware Federation.

Being part of the DHF ensures we keep working to a consistent & high level with various industrial doors. As with each type of industrial door whether roller shutter or sectional for example, they all have their own specific features to understand.

Knowing the specifics, operation, safety and fitment of all these types of doors is what keeps the door fit for purpose.

Little bit about the DHF;
The DHF are regarded as the ‘Centre of Excellence’, with a network of professional staff members as well as external consultants that can provide support in all sectors.

They support various industry sectors by representing them on BSI standards committees, liaising with compliance authorities such as the Health and Safety Executive and Trading Standards as well as fire safety organisations across the UK and Europe.
