Your Dog is MAGIC 🪄 Your dog is designed so magically, and most owners don’t even realise. Did you know: Your dog can breathe and sniff scents at the same time through their nose. Or that they can smell using their nostrils independently. Do you encourage the use your dogs nose in their daily activities or walks? It’s something we incorporate to all our walks; short or long, solo or group. It’s hugely beneficially for them and something we would love owners to utilise more! 🐶

🐾 There are so many ways to make your everyday walks with Fido more interesting and fun. Here’s our Top 5 quick and easy tips: 1. Walk your usual route backwards! It’s so simple but you’d be surprised how different it feels, especially at different times of day and seasons. 2. Let them take their time and sniff! It can be a bit boring for us, but sniffing is so important and fulfilling for your dogs mental health.3. Take moments to pause and scatter treats. Whether on or off lead, it changes the pace and engages them in a rewarding activity. 4. We love exploring new places; whether it’s woodlands and beaches or #dogfriendly cafes and parks, there’s nothing better than trying new things with your furry pal at your side and it’s great to keep expanding their horizons. 5. Lastly, take a buddy on some walks! Furry or not, walking with friends is twice the fun. What other tips can you share to make walks more exciting for owner and dog? Woody, Bluebell and Obi having a lovely run about, covering loads of ground and playing so nicely. We achieve these calm, well balanced groups by keeping them small (a maximum of 4) and by having regular slots for our clients so that they can build strong friendships with their crew. The results speak for themselves, and there is nothing nicer than watching dogs be dogs! 🐾
It’s safe to say, these guys had a blast. Freddie loved having some pals to run with, and Orla and Dora slept the whole way home! 💤 It is so wonderful seeing dogs free and playing like this. #happypups #norwichpetcare #dogwalkingservices #packwalks

😬 Does your dog stress when you leave them home alone? 😬 It's actually not uncommon. In fact, 8 out of 10 dogs will find it hard to cope when left on their own, but half of these won't show any obvious signs. But there are simple steps you can take right now that will help your dog settle and enjoy time home alone. And here they are: 🐾 Keep a consistent leaving routine, no matter how long you are going for. 🐾 Leave a radio on to minimise outside noise that may trigger their attention. 🐾 Leave them with a treat that keeps them busy, such as a Kong/Lickimat or hide treats for them to find. 🐾 Leave them often, your dog will struggle more if they are rarely left so make sure you're keeping them well practised by leaving them at least once a week (even if only for an hour). 🐾 If they're alerted by passersby or cars, try to shut them out of rooms where they can hear or see them. 🐾 Praise them when you return, they'll be so happy to see you no matter how long you've been gone! 🐾 Ensure they've had enough exercise, or hire a dog walker to help achieve this. A tired dog will be much more content. Try these tips and let me know how you get on. And if you're looking for professional support to get your dog calm when home alone, I can help. A little slice a heaven and ZOOMIES! We love walking here, it’s always so quiet and the dogs can really just have fun. We don’t let our dogs run through crop but when it’s stubble like this it’s nice for them to have the extra room to run. Here Connie, a young Sprocker has some #zoomies with new friend Nixi the Puggle.
