Passive houses exceed British Building Regulation Standards and comply with a recent European directive that came into force on 31 December 2020 requires all new buildings to comply with the NZEB standard (Net Zero Energy Building) or "almost zero energy consumption" principle.

The concept of passive houses becomes increasingly popular due to increased energy prices.

Thinking about building your own sustainable home but not sure of the process?

Our Ecohouse kit happens in 4 stages:

Stage 1:
Here’s where you chose your project and pay a deposit of £500. This includes set plans which usually cost £750!

Stage 2:
The work begins at this point and a 40% instalment is paid. Delivery takes around 90-120 days.

Stage 3:
A second 40% instalment is paid when the kit is delivered. A team of 4 will then assemble the kit on site, a forklift or crane will be hired to aid unloading.

Stage 4:
A third 15% instalment is paid when the structure is erected. With the final 5% when building is completed to semifinished stage.

Our ECO Housekits come as complete flatpack kits that can be easily assembled with or without assistance.

We offer 3 different structure type dependant on what finished product you are after, these include:

🏡 STANDARD HOUSE STRUCTURE 🏡
When making the wooden structure of the house we use only dry wood, treated and planed on 4 sides. To fasten the structure we use only galvanized and certified mechanical connectors, with CE marking. The standard house structure consists of an exterior wall, with a 32 cm thickness, which includes 15 cm of mineral wool insulation inside the structure and 10 cm of exterior insulation. The standard version houses are energy efficient, and can be certified with class A energy performance.

🏠 PREMIUM (PASSIVE HOUSE) STRUCTURE 🏠
A European directive that came into force on 31 December 2020 requires all new buildings to comply with the "almost zero energy consumption" principle. Passive houses are characterized, first of all, by a high thermal comfort and by a superior quality of the indoor air. The energy consumption for heating a passive house is more than 75% lower than the similar consumption of a conventional house.

🏘 HOLIDAY/STUDIO KUBE STRUCTURE 🏘
Holiday homes in the STUDIO KUBE range are a very popular product category in recent years. For the realisation of these houses we used a standard exterior wall structure with a total thickness of 25 cm and a premium version of wall structure with a total thickness of 30 cm and high quality exterior finishes.
The difference between the standard and premium structure consists in the thickness of the exterior wall, the type of insulation in the structure, the type of exterior carpentry, the type of exterior cladding.
