Building Business Resilience as an Inclusive Entrepreneur: Beyond COVID-19 27.03.20 v2 Welcome to our Friday Briefing on all things Inclusive Entrepreneurship Inclusive Entrepreneurship makes entrepreneurship open and easily accessible to all. ...
Hi folks,
sorry for my late response and updates on trackdays. Well motorsport is also in lockdown, something we will all have to get use too, for how long well this is anyone's guess could be months, get use to being at home for a while. Time to catch up on all those videos of your racing carers and have a laugh, this use up some of your time, phone a friends and family. Another baby boom I expect.
This will be tough and please respect this plea, Boris is not joking, its no game, This is as real as it gets, No one is immune to this coronavirus.!!!
As you all realise we are in lockdown for as long as it takes......!!!
Please respect the NHS the pressure they now face, we will face hardship and our sport is not as important than your health, please stay at home. protect you and others lives.
I have had a text today as I'm in this high risk group of 1.5 million, wow I have won the lottery. I received this just before Boris Address to the nation tonight.
This means me in 12 weeks of self isolation NOT 12 days 12 weeks....!!!!
Also today I forwarded my name to help with a new drug trial to fight this coronavirus, No guarantee I will be picked as I have a underlying lung disease that also has no vaccine, I have survived the worst possible health problems, I have a list as long as my arm. I am happy to help if it saves lives, even yours. or mine come to that. They have saved my life more than once .Not sure they could save me from this.
Updates on motorsport will one day return,?? NOT important right now. If we ALL do as we now we have to protect the NHS workers, and all who struggling to keep the country going. if not we will possibly witness thousands of people falling ill.!!!Some yes will die. we all have seen this on the news and it is scary stuff.???
Lastly, my message is stay safe, keep strong, mostly respect each other, this will be tough we never seen anything like this only in films, this is really happening now to all of us. Government have some tough choices to make, we all work together now,no time for mistakes. We have one chance the NHS doctors, nurses now keep telling us. Now its time to listen to them on the front line. Stay at Home...!!!
Pat
Good morning everyone the time has now come to look at our health more than Motorsport, extra hand washing is a must try not to touch your face, this is hard to do as we touch our face at least 20 times every few mins without us thinking about it. stay 3 paces away from each, stop shaking hands, kissing etc. Very hard to do ??
Coronavirus, we have NO control on who and when it will strike you or your family or friends and work mates, please think about protecting yourself and others, This is not the time not to take advantage of people weakness, We have already seen lots of information as surge of emails, phone calls scams from banks, credit companies and finance , BT and Sky lots more besides these will be almost possible a scam. Put your phone down and call the bank, company direct if unsure. Most banks will send you a letter if your in financial trouble do NOT part with your bank details or your money, stop and think first. Just put the phone down is best thing to do. Remember if your bank ask you for your details, they have a credit file and have lots personal information about you for last six years or even more. Think first.
Now how about our Motorsport fun, is it going to stop Trackdays and race meetings, well I think this week ALL sporting events could stop altogether, and we all a seen four months of F1 postponed Football Rugby Golf Tennis lots more sports .Never in my lifetime have I seen a pandemic of sporting events postponed. what is more important. Your Health.
We will be asked for a time to stay at home self isolate. so the spread of the virus can be slowed down. Experts have said it could be some time before a drug can be made to stop the virus in it tracks. some say two years or more, lets hope this is not the case.
Yes this virus will unfortunate take lots of lives in the first wave. Up to 60% of the population the scientist want us to be infected to enable then us to build some immunity to the virus. we all must try to do what the science and government say. Lots of sporting events postponed, or cancelled. Well what's more important. Yes some will face financial hardship. I can tell I had a head start this and staying at home and have no income will be bloody hard, you will find away run your lives. Shame more on this from government has not been talked about. I hope that financial institutions look at how your mortgage and rents can be held back for a couple months, council tax other bills looked at ,main thing is do not panic buy. Be responsible , we all have to think about this, if not then things could turn violent , human nature as stress level will rise We will come through this so be patient with everything you do and those closest to you yes it will be hard I can tell you this, yes I been homeless and life was very bad a few years ago. I've pulled thru that period of my life, you will also.
Raceability hope to run a trackday on April 21st at Snetterton. I like others think this could be off, why, we are 4 weeks behind Italy and France and most of European countries who are in lockdown, no movement of people, no mass gatherings only move in you city town or village,. Only those like health care workers Police, Military and food and pharmacy outlets. testing stations. Scary stuff is it not.
Please stay safe and I will update you at least on what the state of play is regarding the trackday meetings. I am positive we will all come through this, if we do as the scientists and government tells us. We have to do our part in this. Not a time to be smart or be foolish. We live with an unknown killer virus. Not a movie, thou I expect Hollywood will make one in time.
We are at war with a unknown enemy, we cant see it or smell it, but we can touch it and spread it.??
Please stay save everyone.
Wash your hands for 20 Seconds min, stop hand contact with your face, stop shaking hands then we can all help to stop the spread.
Pat

Coronavirus effecting motorsport.
News is the Geneva Motor show has just been cancelled. the first major car show costing manufactures thousands of pounds. Plus not able to show off new generation cars and products for 2020
Japanese F1 as well also called off.
More announcements I am sure as the Coronavirus spreads around the world effecting major motor sporting and other sporting events. Will the Le Mans plus British Grand Prix be effected by the virus?? costing motorsport and car industry millions.
Well lets hope the track days are not effected, or the racing season that's just about to start your engines. I can see a few gaps in the sporting calendar this year.
What measures has motorsport got in place?? apart from washing your hands for 20 seconds in alcohol based soap or hand cleansers.?? standard health announcement, bit hard to police is it not. Gloves and facemasks now said to be useless in most cases, the particles are so small they can still be easily breathed in.
What action should motorsport be taking ??
