The Games Room, Norwich

Apologies for not being able to appear at the Norwich Games Day on Saturday. This proved impossible due to a late message from an old friend in Lincolnshire saying that they wanted to meet up...and were only here for Sat. pm. I also had to stay in the shop for another (more mercenary) reason: a customer was going to come in to pick up a £90 game on Saturday afternoon that I had ordered for them.
The rain had nothing to do with anything, I might add! Not afraid of a few showers. Hopefully next year will turn out more auspicious? :(

I have been compelled, due to a recent attack here on my reputation, to defend myself:
Someone has made the accusation that I have been performing some kind of scam that has lost them £200! This is blatantly untrue and I will state here the probable reason for what amounts to libel.
Back in Oct. I started getting packages delivered to the shop under the bogus name of "Isabel Thomas". At first my assumption (and that of the post office) was that this was just a mistaken address...the packages came without the business name of the shop. The packages kept coming (and I, as always, refused delivery!) Then people started phoning me asking if there was an Isabel Thomas at this location. They claimed to have sent out goods and lost money is some sort of credit card swindle that I cannot begin to fathom.
I contacted the Norwich and Norfolk police fraud office because I was concerned that someone might think I was involved in "fencing" stolen merchandise! They told me to keep refusing delivery, only the person sending the goods can arrange for the pursuit of the offender. I informed the post office who now do not send me packages with this addressee's name.
I will not press matters further with this individual because I realise that they have been gulled and are victims...but so am I , and I have more to lose than £200...my reputation! Others have been astute enough when contacting me to realise that this is a scam (largely due to the missing business name which indicates a motive of creating an appearance of a private residence) but this latest individual has sought to condemn me without any such due diligence! IF only they had contacted me first!
End of rant!

Please note! We now have the Cyberpunk Red Danger Gal Dossier in stock...as well as the new Sagrada "Legacy" game, and the really intriguing Dragonbane RPG core set from Free League! This is one I would like to play! :)

Urgent Message!: Elm Hill businesses really need your "footfall"! Whether it is the new young management at The Briton's Arms tea house, the long-standing Bear Shop (although not as long-standing as me; somebody give me a chair, please!) The Jade Tree, Phil's lovely Dormouse Bookshop, Christina's great Elm Hill Craft Shop...We have all suffered recently from a dramatic fall in custom. This really seems to have begun with the Omicron scare, which damaged Xmas trade for many...and hasn't really recovered since. If you value small, specialist shops...of which there are many fewer after covid anyway...and don't want to see a sterile street of solicitors' offices and estate agents...please, at least, pop down and peruse! Thanks to all my regular customers for continuing to turn up, through thick and thin! :)

I'm back...after an absence caused by the unfortunate spilling of some Perrier water on my previous laptop's keyboard! A "Baptism of Death" you might call it? Hey! At least it wasn't tap-water :)!
