Turns out this floor lamp.... In the 'look at' queue and displayed not working forevveeerrr... was only missing a fuse. Still got to sort a proper shade carrier.. But a couple of colour changing remote bulbs later, this will do for now!

For what it's worth, here's my take on this '2024 Trend' trend.
When it comes to vintage/second hand and decor and all that at least, as long as you're not skinning stuff for your walls or stealing your furniture, who's to say what you should and shouldn't put together or invest in?
If you like it, embrace it.
Have fun with it. It's OK to.
Admire it, mix it up if you like to.
Research special pieces to be custodian of if that's in your reach, or just open that packet of everyday items and reuse, recycle and enjoy if that's how you choose to fit a bit of vintage style into your home.
Does your collection have to be cohesive and curated as long as it suits you and what you want it for?
Your style will always be trending in your eyes, and that's the beauty of it.

Time has come to pack away Kitschmas for another year.
As I gather up some new acquisitions that will join the collection, I thought I'd do a special shout-out to for their fabulous packaging and apparent super speedy delivery of this new little fellow, who was this year's Xmas Eve decoration pressie. And of course thanks to for the gift!

I keep some walk of life favourite on this teal tree. I call it my 'refined' tree and my OH thinks that's a joke.
Special snowman purchased by my Mum in the 70s, glass indent baubles from the then legendary Pitsea Market in the 80s and such. A few modern additions sit in happily. I added a couple of 'new' ones to this tree this year, including the grumpy pipe cleaner banjo man found by my Mum and a couple of waifs and strays that I'm pretty sure were milliseconds from the bin in the bottom of a box of broken 'rubbish' they'd finished sorting when I walked in a charity shop at the beginning of the season. They include the glitter bath Angel, mesh hoop Angel to make a pair with one I already had, and the little hard plastic Kewpie style 'Angel'.
Went with Lametta on this one also.

Found this piece in a charity shop some weeks ago. No lid to be seen sadly, (best not think too much about if it was donated but never united when it was put out), and a tiny chip right at the top edge - but sometimes it's still too hard to resist giving things a new home. Here she is with her new 'Do.

Why do night photos make days of decoration look like I opened a box and threw it up in the air?
Have to say, the spirit hasn't hit me this year, but some treasures need their time to shine.
Maybe I'll get some better day shots as I added just a few little gems this year that should have their spotlight.

I've got a reasonable selection of replacement ones including some more obscure or specific ones, (more than shown here but too many to list separately), so if you would like me to have a check and let you know stock/prices if I have what you need, do drop me a message.

I have a small amount of these Christmas poster wrapping paper sheets left. Just about 5 sheets of the green Santa with sack, but more of the Santa with tree. They are of fairly thin stock, green feeling a bit more substantial. They have been lightly folded in half then rolled and stored, so if using as a poster you may want to lightly press on cool through a tea towel to even out centre crease a little bit. There may be slight fluffing of edges and corners but nothing major like tears or anything - an all new old stock, bright and unused before.
£2.50 a sheet or 3 for £6 on the Santa and tree (light background) one.

Paper can be folded to letter post if preferred, but either lightly folded to standard parcel post size or rolled via courier recommended if you want to preserve it best.

Brown nice size but note small mark to leg of one with tree and some snow spray to the other,

Cardboard Candy boot. Of good age and therefore does have surface crazing and discolouration, but a charming piece that could be the centre of a nice wreath perhaps..

Duo of tinsel Santa wreaths needing a small amount of tlc.

I've re threaded the gold foil trim on the red as I put it up as was passed through wrong holes in part, (however I think the green OK,) but it does take time to pull the trim round, and there are a few creases to the foil. A tiny bit of drop in tinsel when you put up and down (so haven't messed with the green).
Main thing is that the hanging length of the gold has been chopped right down, and I think Santa tied on very slightly higher than he should be. He has a tiny tear to edge of boot but not too noticeable.

The green has the Santa just attached to the outer ring and a chopped hanging thread, so I can supply some to restring if required.

£8 for both.

Desirable hard plastic filigree Angel hanging decoration in good shape, £8.50

Triple flocked ball hanging decoration with Holly accents. All elements attached to the balls including 'chain' are plastic. Perfect to add a couple of little flocked Santas to to make a mobile perhaps. Super kitsch.
Overall fine condition but do note a little age and marking to flocked balls, although nothing that detracts from display.

Sealed in packets still.

Charming Christmas goose (?) design cotton drawstring bag - sweet for wrapping a gift or storing little decorations perhaps.. That is if you haven't got a pet goose who needs a stocking. Looks unused but just has some light folds from storage, £4.
Bright plastic beaded garland.
Some give in it and one end is frayed a bit where it's tied to the small plastic rings it has at the end, bit overall good.

Classic miniature nativity.
See images for scale, but think along the lines of cake decoration size with the smallest part around an inch.
These are hard plastic and this is the full set, (the same as sealed ones I've previously sold - no Joseph - The packaging is not complete and what's there is a bit worn, but the pieces are fine.
