Meet Claire Munday, our amazing founder! 🌟 Claire’s dance journey started at just three years old, leading her to Laine Theatre Arts and a successful career as a professional dancer and choreographer. 🩰✨ She’s danced with stars like Destiny’s Child and performed on stages including the West End and the Royal Albert Hall. 🎭🎶

With over 15 years of teaching experience, Claire created Tappy Toes to inspire creativity, build confidence, and improve coordination in young children. In response to the tragic events that unfolded at a dance class in Southport yesterday, a heartfelt community effort is underway and gaining momentum to support the families affected. Over £2500 has already been raised through a GoFundMe campaign, initiated by 6 UK preschool dance companies, with a call for continued donations to aid those impacted.

Claire O’Connor, Founder and CEO of babyballet, rallied the support of fellow dance company owners including us at Tappy Toes. Along with Anne-Marie Martin (Diddi Dance), Amanda Frolich (Amanda’s Action Club), Vicci Blakey (Lil Beatz), and Melanie Buck (Little Movers) —who are all dedicated dance ambassadors— to spearhead this fundraising initiative.

Deeply shaken by the incident, we have all come together to support the victims' families.

The GoFundMe page, accessible at https://gofund.me/fd79feea, is accepting donations of any amount. All funds raised will be directed to the families impacted by this tragic event. Please share the campaign far and wide across your networks to maximize support.

Together, we can bring hope and support to those who need it most.
