Baby’s first 🥰
Had so much fun teaching this in Friday morning’s class!
Spaces available - every Friday at 11am!
“As long as you live under my ocean, you’ll obey my rules.” 🔱 The rules:
🦀 Help us facilitate a positive learning environment for fellow students and your instructors by reading and following our Studio Etiquette Policy (link in our bio)
🦀 Prioritize safe and sustainable pole progression for yourself and others. Avoid overtraining and don’t attempt tricks outside the scope of your current level/abilities
🦀 Respect your own body and others’ by not engaging in fat-talk or body shaming. If you have a body-specific question about a trick, do ask your instructor
🦀 Uplift your fellow students—emotionally, not physically
🦀 Do not attempt to teach or spot others unless explicitly asked to do so by the instructor running your class or session as this could result in serious injury
🦀 Rest when you are unwell or injured
🦀 Acknowledge and celebrate the (primarily WOC) SWers who founded the pole industry
🦀 Celebrate diversity in the pole industry—homophobia, transphobia, s*xism, racism, ableism, and other demeaning language and behavior will not be tolerated in studio spaces whether physical or online.
Else, we’ll get 🦀-y 😉

From baby poler to certified pole instructor, Kalene has come so far! So proud of your progress! Wishing you a very happy birthday full of cake and other tasty things! 🎂
Today, the 27th of June, is Global Pride Day and tomorrow, the 28th, marks the 54th anniversary of the uprising at the Stonewall Inn, when a gay bar and place of refuge for the community in Manhattan was raided by law enforcement and its patrons rioted in response to the oppression and violence they experienced.
Pride is both a celebration and a protest for LGBTQIA+ liberation. This year, many Pride celebrations are centering trans visibility and focusing on unity in the face of rising anti-trans rhetoric and legislation.
As a studio, we will continue to work to provide a supportive and positive space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and those who hold other marginalized and often intersecting identities such as s*x workers (remember, st*****rs are the originators of the pole industry!) and people of color to learn poledance.
Happy Sunday to this absolute peach (who happens to have a fabulous #🍑 )! We had so much fun learning in with yesterday 😍. Thank you Gemma and to everyone who came - you all smashed it! ♥️

Introducing ✨Lovey✨ 🐕❤️
Some of you will know already that my trip back to the US was in large part to bring my back. Lovey is a 10-year-old who loves green beans, naps in warm blankets and walkies. She was my grandfather’s dog and when he passed in 2020, she became very depressed and my mom and I resolved to have me bring her home with me. She recently had surgery to repair her knee after an accident a few months ago and so will be spending most of her time with me as we work through her physiotherapy plan and you may see her in the studio (in her carrier). She’s very friendly and enjoys meeting new friends but she will always be securely in her carrier (and probably napping 😴) at the start of class and won’t be allowed to wander around while I teach (for her safety just as much as ours).
As we’re a disability-friendly studio, we already allow service dogs to come to class with their owners, which all students are informed of on the registration form but if you have a dog allergy or any other reason that Lovey’s presence in the studio might cause you discomfort, please let me know so that I can arrange for her to stay home or with a friend during any you attend. ❤️
Meet Our Instructors ✨Mary✨
Mary is our newest instructor and is currently certified to teach classes.
Mary discovered in the seedy hotbed of Bristol back in 2018, when she innocently decided to get back into exercise after her third baby. She had no idea that it would become a full-blown obsession, a beloved form of creative self expression, as well as amazing motivation to keep getting stronger!
When she moved to Norwich in 2021 and discovered Jenny’s Pole Studio, the amazing instructors inspired her journey to become a teacher.
You can join Mary’s Beginner class on Wednesdays at 11:30 📆.
For , student and President of Associação Portuguesa Voz do Autista Sara has kindly provided a short explanation of what autism is and shared her experience at Jenny's Pole Studio:
"Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition where social communication and perception of the world develops differently than non-autistic people.
Autism is a spectrum because every autistic person has different difficulties, strengths and adaptation needs.
"Jenny's Pole Studio (and the incredible teachers) not only accommodate my needs, and my assistance dog, but also makes it so much fun for me to attend. I always struggled with classes, but being inclusive is building safe spaces, and this studio, definitely became one of my safe spaces."
As instructors, we're so lucky to meet and teach such diverse and talented individuals like and even more fortunate to learn from them as we work to make the studio accessible and safe for all. ❤️
We are so proud of how much Abby has grown since she first arrived on our doorstep! Her dedication and passion for poledance is as contagious as her sweet smile. She will be sorely missed as she finishes university and moves on to her next adventure. Best of luck and don't be a stranger! 😘

In line with the IWDA's definition of , we believe in "all genders having equal rights and opportunities" and "respecting diverse women’s experiences, identities, knowledge and strengths, and striving to empower all women to realise their full rights."
While the majority of our students identify as women, we proudly offer a safe and supportive space for learning and self-expression to students with other marginalized and intersectional identities, such as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ women, transgender women, non-binary or gender non-conforming people, and of course our students who are and have been SWers. ❤️
Oh goddesses of please accept the 🍑ylicious offerings from our students on this most sacred of days, and bless all the 🍑s not featured here today with growth and prosperity. Amen 🙏🏽.
Now, who do these 🍑s belong to? 🧐😏
How do you shine a spotlight on someone who lights up a room? Since Char started classes at Jenny's Pole Studio, she's dazzled us with her kindness and sense of humor. In the last 6 months, she's made so much progress and we are so proud of how far she's come! We asked Char to share what she loves about poledance:
"I love pole because it's the first form of exercise I've ever enjoyed to the point that doing it regularly feels like absolutely no effort. I look forward to coming to every class and even when I'm having a bad day it's never enough to keep me away because pole always picks me up when I'm down. It's changing my body in ways the gym never did and I'm learning to love myself through the strength and skills it gives me. It makes me feel s*xy and confident and strong. But also specifically at Jenny's Pole I've gained a second family. Every single person is so welcoming and inclusive. Everyone genuinely cares for one and other and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to pole with.
I think my favourite pole trick to date that I can do decently is probably the flatline. With assistance (at the moment) it would be the layback."

About Jenny
Jenny hails all the way from Tucson, Arizona and has been hooked on pole since her very first class in July of 2014.
In 2015, she participated in her first group performance and less than a year later competed in the PSO Pacific Pole Championships in Los Angeles, CA. Jenny's favourite thing about pole is that it's a sport for absolutely every body, from shape and size to skill level and style (be it sporty, sophisticated, or sensual).
After moving to Norwich to pursue her master's degree, she trained with Spin City to become a certified Beginner and Intermediate Pole Fitness instructor to share her love of pole dance with others.
