The following phishing email was received by one of our colleagues (picture attached), it appears moderately convincing til you take a closer look at the links in the email, it was not expected, poor punctuation and addressed to an email address rather than a person.



We must always be on the lookout for phishing emails that try to trick us into clicking on malicious links. Scammers frequently use emails that appear to be from an authority figure, such as a bank or government agency (In this case TV Licencing) and include a message about a change in bank details.



However, keep in mind that legitimate organisations will never ask you to click on a link to update your bank information.



Before clicking on any links or providing any personal information, always confirm the authenticity of an email.
