Mid century goodies sourced and sold.
I nearly had a bad day at the auction. Everything I wanted had 6 other people on it, but plenty of stuff going cheap that I didn’t want 🙄
How I work at an auction is I have things I definitely want, and then other things I might bid on, so it wasn’t too bad as it was just the ‘other things’ I was losing out on.
I did manage to get the thing I actually went for, and even the auctioneer and porter cheered when I got it 😹
Unfortunately it’s where ‘sold as seen’ is a bit of an issue as it’s not a 31 pc set. But there is still value.
Also I realised it matched my towels 😹
A little bit of washing up this morning from a collection yesterday, although I’m not washing the boxed set!
Remember those 10 house clearance boxes? Well they are slowly depleting!
If I didn’t collect Hornsea I think I would have gone down the Utility Ware rabbit hole. I do like all the pastel colours together.
This is today’s marketplace haul.
Didn’t even have to put the seats down!
The problem with the 10 boxes I bought last week was a lot of mismatched sets… this seems to have the other half 🙄
A little road trip this morning, and a little washing up this afternoon!
A reminder that if you bid on 10+ random boxes, you then have to carry 10+ boxes to the car … phew
This beautiful set of enamel pans are on Etsy as individual lots or the whole set. Unfortunately some are damaged inside and I’m hoping people will be imaginative- planters? Storage?
This lovely hand painted Ridgways dinner service is listed on Etsy, in separate parts or as the full set.
I’ve just cleared ‘goods in’, washed and listed and then this little box of goodies appeared locally on Marketplace- little roadtrip out but the sorting can wait for the week I think!
An interesting little haul from the auction today. Had to place absentee bids as was working but still got some bits to keep me busy!
Had a little trip out and now I have some washing up 😹
I was getting worried this week. Had a little flurry of sales in early Jan, which was unexpected, and then nothing this week until today. I guess people have run out of money!
I think the programme at Christmas about ‘70s dining helped sales a little too. Need more of those programmes to help people reminisce!
I am a little low on stock too, and haven’t really topped up yet, so that should help sales when I can find some stock again!
And todays purchases although the little birbs are for me!
Todays orders, packing in my bedroom!
Biggest seller this week, (yes really) - Babycham glasses! I have one remaining for sale!
People are still buying then!
I did another one as I forgot some bits …
Here is a video of my current collection
I’ve been collecting this design all year to use at Christmas!
Today’s washing up … will have to wait. Stupid day job needed to pay the bills …
People joke that I don’t really sell things, but I promise I do, however, these guys I’m keeping for a bit. It’s my favourite Pyrex pattern.
How cool is this?! It’s a cream maker, if you fancy a go! Is it an ideal gift for the person who has everything?!
I also picked these up yesterday, again great to see them all with their lids, and I don’t think they have been used. They even have their original information leaflet!
On eBay with a starting bid of £15 and £50 BiN - fingers crossed!
Obsessed with this. It’s hard enough to find items with their lids but this one comes with original boxed handle! How retro is that. It’s in fab condition too.
On eBay with £10 starting price and BiN for £30, open to offers!
I’ve been doing car things today but still come home with a boot full of washing up!
Went out to buy some more washing up
Todays washing up pile, from a marketplace haul yesterday - slowly buying all hornsea in Norfolk!
