🌟 Farewell our longest resident, Amber 🌟

After six years with us, Amber has finally found her forever home! ❤
Arriving in 2018 with her siblings, Amber had a tough start due to a lack of early handling. Despite our team's daily care, progress was slow, and her time with us stretched on. Sadly, she recently lost her last sibling, but we're overjoyed that Amber has now secured a loving home. It’s bittersweet, but we know her run will soon be home to more ferrets in need. 🐾💛

🌟 A Fond Farewell to Chives 🌟

We’re thrilled to share we waved Chives of his new home,, and we couldn't be happier After being with us since 2022, he’s found his forever home. Despite being overlooked due to his age, colour, or his need for some time to warm up to people, Chives' luck changed earlier this month when he was chosen as a companion for a female bunny of a similar age.

We wish Chives and his new friend all the best for the future. We are so thrilled he finally found a place to call home. 🐰💖

On , we extend our heartfelt thanks to Cringleford for yet more generosity! Last year, they donated several electrical items, and now they have donated a much-needed chainsaw. Our farm needs constant maintenance to keep it functional and safe. Thank you!

A massive thank you to our incredibly generous supporter who recently gifted us a fantastic cat wheel from our Amazon wishlist! It’s now assembled and our ferrets are already having a blast with it.

Some of our ferrets have taken to the wheel like a duck to water, while our other mustelid residents are still figuring it out. Ferrets are highly intelligent, so we’re confident they’ll all be rolling in style in no time. 🐾✨

We're thrilled to share an incredible collaboration in action! A huge shoutout to Redwings Horse Sanctuary for their invaluable visit to our sanctuary, bringing along their expert behaviour vet, Nicola Berryman and lovely colleague Julie. Together, they assessed our beloved Muffin, who often gets anxious when the farrier visits—a stressful time for everyone involved.

With Nicola's expert guidance and a carefully crafted behaviour plan, Muffin is already showing remarkable progress just two weeks in! 🐴✨

This collaboration highlights the power of working together beyond organisational boundaries. By sharing knowledge and expertise, we can significantly enhance animal welfare and achieve more than we ever could alone.

We are incredibly grateful to Sophie for donating a large parcel of settle mats to our sanctuary. These mats are already making a huge difference for our dogs!

Here’s a photo of Blue, who proved she is capable of a great settle and absolutely loved her new mat. 🐶💙

The mats are of amazing quality, the perfect size, and can be rolled up and secured, making them compact and perfect to store and use in various locations.

🐰 Calling all crafters! 🐰

Our rabbits absolutely love having their breakfast in snuffle mats! Feeding this way encourages natural foraging behaviour and makes mealtime more stimulating for them.

Unfortunately, we don't have enough mats for all of our rabbits to enjoy feeding this way. We're hoping some of our talented supporters can help us out by making around 25 snuffle mats.

We would also gratefully accept donations of suitable rubber mats (like the one shown) so we can make our own. Additionally, any other snuffle mat donations, whether purchased new or unwanted second-hand, would be greatly appreciated.

This little hog was brought into us today when the finder noticed it had netting caught round its body. What wasn't obvious until it was anaethetised was that it was actually caught round its neck too, causing some swelling. After a very quick anaesthetic the netting was safely removed and a pain relief and anti inflammatory injection was given. It will spend time being monitored by our staff before hopefully being rereleased once it is larger.

🚨😍 BETTY 😍🚨

14 year old Betty came to PACT in February with another cat named Crystal. Crystal has since found her forever home but Betty is sadly still waiting for her perfect retirement home.

Due to her age she prefers not to be pulled around and is currently on pain relief for her stiffness (PACT will continue to support this once she is rehomed)

However, Betty is still young at heart, loves to play and is very active. She also enjoys fuss, particularly a head scratch, and may even curl up on your lap.

This lovely lady would prefer to be the only pet in an indoor home so she doesn't have to share any of the attention she rightly deserves.
