I’m in final preparation for our traditional first day of term afternoon tea. I love to get out a special handmade table runner. (This is how I cut down on waste from my business fabric usage!)

I’ve just been covertly handed a secret recipe for some flapjack - which I have immediately changed to suit my current ‘what’s in the kitchen’ situation.

So here’s my question - what is your secret ingredient for flapjack?

(My secret ingredients are cornflakes and bran flakes with my oats!)

Christmas in July is something that us makers are very used to (as it gives enough time to build stock for ‘the big day’) however - this is the first year that I’ve sewn ‘Christmas in Jan’!

These are Christmas bags made to be an alternative to wrapping paper.

(Photos are deliberately vague as I’m not yet sure that I’ll be offering this as a product or not?!!)

So this is what a new term at Secondary school looks like this year - it used to be new shoes - but these days our 11+ children need enough comfy face coverings to last them all day long.

My ear elastics are soft, I have a comfy style and a range of fabrics colours.

All of my face coverings are 2 layers of cotton and should be washed after every wear.

You might need 2 per day if you are using them from 7am on the bus to school.

If someone you knew just happened to make a Christmas stocking for each of their new kittens - you wouldn’t judge them would you?

And - if, maybe, as well as making a stocking - they happened to hand embroider names on those stockings - well - that would be OK wouldn’t it?
