Established in 2003, my aim is to teach you for a lifetime of safe driving, from beginners to expert
Oli Hewitt-George passed today, not with the best of drives 11 driver faults and a big talking to from the examiner at the debrief.
Take it on board and don’t drive like your dad does!!! 😂
Rachel turned up to take him to work and will probably have a bit of a talking to on the way!
Well done though, now I can have my Saturdays off again!
Been a bit of a rubbish month for tests this one, 3 tests booked in, all 3 cancelled as the examiner was no longer available. Here’s to next month to free up some spaces!!
Camera shy Elena Bennett passed this morning with just 3 minors at her first attempt. Been fun teaching you, from your tantrums to your constant questions about “I saw this on Tic Tok, is that what I’ve got to do?” Happy driving and keep safe!! Well done again!
Laurie Howard passed this morning at her first attempt with me, can’t take all of the credit this time I simply polished the turd so to speak. Put a few things right, changed a few things and bingo 3 minors and a pass. Poor Niki now loses the keys to the Audi S3 so not a bad car to start your driving in. Stay safe and watch those alloys!! lol
Well done to Connie Denham for passing this morning with yes you’ve guessed it ZERO faults on her first attempt, good luck in the Uni hunt, good luck sharing the car with your brother who got 2 driving faults last year or the year before which gave you the ultimate bragging rights!!
Fitted new cameras in the car last night, two clips before the first pupil this morning!!
Just to put people in the picture about the dual controls that instructors have!
They are not a magic solution to driving, they don’t control a pupils decision making, their nerves or their fears about other drivers!
If you drive too close to a Learner car and the pupil happens to press the brake by mistake or too hard, there is absolutely nothing the instructor can do to override it, other than tell them to come off the brake, if they don’t and you go into the back of us it’s because you are too close!
We also have a clutch pedal, which if they struggle due to stalling we can help them with, though we would rather not, believe it or not, beeping the horn doesn’t make them pull off any quicker, more likely they will stall again!
We don’t have an accelerator pedal, we can’t make them go faster from our side of the car only encourage them verbally!
Often approaching a junction you may find they slow down quite early, the reason for this is because they are listening to where we want them to go on the junction!
Multi tasking is difficult for new drivers, please be patient and try and understand what’s happening in the car!
We do only put them into situation’s. at the pace they learn but sometimes they can get it wrong , remember they are still learning!
With regards instructors having nerves of steel, we don’t, we are ordinary family men and women, trying to help other people’s very nervous children learn to do what you are doing, drive a car!
Stay safe everyone
Will Jolley passed this morning with just the one DF at his first attempt, that was the easy part the hard task not for Nick is to find an insurance quote for less than £6k on Wills car. No it’s not a Porsche or anything exotic it’s an E36 318!! Apparently I’ve got to excuse the holy t-shirt as he was then off to finish digging a trench. Well done and stay safe, no drifting the Beemer!!
Finally the new driving school car has arrived!! Beep beep!!
Camera shy Aaliyah Ho**er passed yesterday with just the 2 DFs. Well done and enjoy your freedom in your car!!
Alex Grand passed this afternoon at her first attempt with a nice clean sheet. Usual Alex timekeeping meant we didn’t have much time to go over all the manoeuvres but we did manage to go over the one she actually got! Well done now you can drive yourself to school but you won’t be able to blame your mum for you being late!!😂😂
After a bit of a messed around morning with a cancelled test, re booked for July as the earliest available date, on my second lesson a message come through saying there’s a cancelled test a bit later today. Quick jiggle about with the lessons and it’s booked. Well done Phoebe Nicholas on taking and passing that test, what with all the dramas of the morning to upsetting the examiner as he didn’t have his extra long dinner break.
Ethan Brown passed this morning at his first attempt with zero driving faults. Excellent drive from Ethan even with a few nerves before the test! Well done was a pleasure teaching you!!
Stanley Woodhouse passed this morning with a great drive in the weather conditions with zero driving faults! Well done and enjoy your holiday next week in Tenerife.
Carl James passed this morning albeit at his second attempt with just two minor faults. Had a great time teaching him, had some great laughs on the way. Stay safe when you get your car and well done on achieving one of your goals! (Don’t forget to send that licence off with your new address on!!)
Well done to Luke Chapman for passing today at his first attempt, nerves nearly played a big part but managed to keep it all together! Well done it was a pleasure teaching you.

This year has been my usual amount of tests roughly with 36tests taken with the odd hiccup/brain farts on test 31 passed. 24 at their first attempt with numerous zero faults in those but on a whole most with very few 1-3 faults in total. Congratulations to all that have passed this year, here’s to the same success next year!
Last test of the year, Millie Hart passed first time with just one driving fault, examiner said that it was an excellent safe drive from start to finish. Well done Millie just in time to be the family Christmas chauffeur but I bet your dad doesn’t insure you on his Porsche for that task!!
Liam Woolard passed this morning with just 2 driving faults at his first attempt, well done on a nice drive after the nerves started to take over on the way up there!
Jess Bell yesterday a bit camera shy and nervous but smashed the test with just 1 DF, took lessons 10 years ago in Yarmouth and now decided it was time to pass! Well done Jess!!
Vinny Clarke passed this morning with a great drive, first attempt with zero faults, had to put the cheeky buggers first picture on here! Had some good laughs on the lessons, stay safe out there Vinny!!
Jordan Haystead passed this morning at his first attempt, nice drive with a few driving faults. Good luck with the car hunt stay safe when you’re finally on the road!
Harvey Martin passed this morning with one driver fault, good alround drive. Stay safe in the little Polo!!
Elise Moore passed this afternoon at her first attempt with a few driving faults. God help us all now she’s able to be on the road with the attention span of a goldfish. Well done and yes it’s been very funny with her stories and banter through the lessons.
Ellie Harbord passed first time this morning with just the 3 silly minors. Kept hold of the nerves and got the result she deserved.
Luckily for Ellie the car was ok as it broke down on the next lesson and is now waiting to be fixed!!
Erin Taylor passed this morning the examiner remarked “we’ll done a perfect drive with zero faults!” Well done Erin it’s been a pleasure to teach you and thank you to your parents for all the private practice! Still need to work on that forward parking!! Lol
20 years ago I started on my path or should I say road as a driving instructor! I’ve taught countless amounts of people to gain their freedom and pass their test. Some of whom I still see out and about some I see when they wave but don’t have a clue who they are as I don’t recognise them! Congratulations to all that have passed with me!
Khagesh Sharma passed today first test of the month, quite a good drive with only 2 driver faults at his first attempt. Well done.
