A few more pics from our lovely Chester tour this week. A morning in Chester followed by a whistle stop tour of Port Sunlight in the afternoon. On our final day, we had a short boat excursion along the River Dee, viewing some beautiful & historic buildings and residences, very charming. See if you can recognize anyone in our Rogues Gallery Group Photo!
Hello from Chester, staying at the beautiful Queen Hotel, more of which later. Today we visited the Abakhan Crafters Paradise in Flintshire, our customers were delighted to purchase various materials & fabrics not available elsewhere. We then continued on to Llandudno, experiencing very sunny weather in this truly unique North Welsh resort. Perfect for strolling along the extensive prom, which also houses some very grand hotels, one of which we will be using on our September tour, contact us for details! An enjoyable boat ride took us around the Great Orme, perfect on such a warm afternoon and a great intake of fresh sea air gave us an appetite for our delicious evening meal, back at our Chester base. Looking forward to our excursion to Llangollen tomorrow, also taking in Snowdonia National Park, Horseshoe Pass, Blanau Ffestiniog and Betws-y-Coed, delightful!
If it's Wednesday, it must be Powderham Castle. A lovely morning in this impressive building, including a guided tour with a very knowledgeable lady, who managed to bring the history alive! Lunch in Exmouth and a final brief visit to Seaton, famous for it's trams. After a brief power cut in the hotel, we managed to get our evening meal about an hour late. Well worth the wait though, the food here is of exceptional quality and plentiful!
Hello Playmates, another lovely day in Devon, visited Buckfast Abbey and purchased their famous (or infamous) fortified wine as a prize for tomorrow's quiz night. Then onto Dartmouth for lunch, followed by a steam train trip to Paignton, it's all go here! And just look at the happy campers posing for a photo, talk about Rogues Gallery! The feathered creature is now my room mate, well he's always there on my window sill with a beady eye!
Back in beautiful Sidmouth today until Friday, lots of shenanigans planned, weather perfect, watch this space for further pics of our happy campers on their jollies!
Back from Thursford this evening and wanted to share several pics of our jolly customers and very friendly staff at the Comfort Inn Great Yarmouth. We will be returning in 2023!
Greetings from Great Yarmouth on our annual Thursford Christmas Spectacular, another brilliant variety show. We were entertained by dancers, singers, acrobats, a fantastic 50 strong choir with a repertoire of showtunes, carols & more, putting us all in the Christmas spirit! The Comfort Inn is a very nice family run hotel, the staff have been the most friendly and helpful I have ever experienced and I can recommend a stay here. A lot of very happy customers who will want to experience this unique tour again next year!
Our final full day in Kent, Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens this morning, followed by wine tasting this afternoon, perfect! Very happy customers, and a very happy Tour Manager, come join us for the next one!
Good evening from Folkestone on day 3 of our Kentish Medley tour, an eventful visit to Dover Castle & the White Cliffs Visitor Centre, smashing views all round. On return to the Clifton Hotel, the heavens opened, what a novelty to see so much rain in a short period, should be clearer tomorrow.
Day 2 down in Folkestone, a lovely jaunt on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch steam train, plus visits to Tenterden & Rye. This evening we had a fun quiz & bingo, prizes won & lots of laughter!
Day 2 of our Kent Medley tour in Folkestone, morning visits to Tenterden & Rye, then an afternoon jaunt on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch steam train, wonderful nostalgia. Finished off today hosting a fun quiz & bingo, boy was it warm, but very enjoyable!

All About TOURS
Regretfully, All About TOURS Travel Shop in Long Eaton will not be open on Monday 02nd November due to staff shortage. Whilst I am away in Jersey saying farewell to the Mayfair Hotel for good after 30 years, my wing man and the legend that is Aidan lies recovering from a fall on tour in a South Wales hospital.
We're hoping for a full and quick recovery and hope that you will all join me in wishing him well as he returns to better health. Miss you Biggles x
The shop will reopen from 9am to 2pm Monday to Thursday until we know more.
Early bookings for 2022 have gone through the roof and a good year seems certain to lie ahead with a shop revamp over Christmas and even bigger plans for 2023!
Thank you all for your loyalty and patience.

Croeso, it's our South Wales tour this week, staying at the welcoming Ivy Bush hotel in Carmarthen, delicious food & friendly service. Visited Saundersfoot, Tenby & Laugharne today, not the best weather but our spirits were not dampened & looking forward to a fun quiz tonight with money can't buy prizes - they're not worth anything!
Popping through letterboxes all over the East Midlands next week. Are you on our mailing list for a copy? Nearly 50 superb UK coach holidays, plus Eurpopean coach breaks and cruises took - Including a Round Britain escorted cruise in September '22....

What a great day spent at the Rheged centre in Cumbria, then a ride aboard the Settle to Carlisle railway. Quite rainy but our spirits were not dampaned!
Video on our Cumbrian tour train journeys
Hello from Cumbria & the Gretna Hall hotel just over the border. 2 lovely train journeys today, from Ravenglass to Dalesgarth on the little 'Ratty' train, then Ravenglass up to Carlisle on the Cumbrian Coastline Railway. 2 totally different experiences, both very enjoyable. The group photo is at Ravenglass station.
A few final day pics from St Helier, Jersey, before our 08.20 flight home tomorrow, yikes! What a wonderful week we've had, it's very sad that we cannot return to the excellent Mayfair Hotel, as it closes its doors at the end of October. Be sure we will find a replacement to return to this fantastic island, hopefully for many years to come. Farewell Mayfair, you've served us very very well!
Wednesday day 6, hopped on a local bus to Gorey, lovely harbour & Castle, excellent cafe's, even dipped my toes in the clear blue sea, happy days!
If it's Tuesday, it must be St Aubins! Tootled off on the little white land train and spent a couple of hours in the picturesque village. Missing MY wingman but someone has to do the hard work back in the office!
Day 3 in beautiful Jersey, had a 6 hour island tour today, so much to see, will be revisiting the highlights this week.
Our lovely hotel in St Helier, Jersey. Such a shame it is being demolished in October, unbelievable!
