Just a reminder that all exhibitor entries close at midnight tonight!
Following the very sad news of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire crash on the 25th of May we have had a number of enquiries asking if the Lancaster Bomber flypast scheduled for the Nottingham Motor Show this Sunday is still going to take place. As we understand it, all BBMF flights have been grounded temporarily whilst investigations in to the crash are undertaken. At the current time we are still awaiting confirmation of the situation from the RAF but I have to say that it is now looking highly unlikely given the circumstances. We will, of course, keep you updated as and when we hear more.
No long to go now! Here's another one of the beautiful cars that will be on display on Sunday June 9th at Wollaton Park. This 1953 Ford Zephyr Zodiac has a 2262cc straight 6 engine with a 3 speed column change gearbox with overdrive. The current owner told us that the car has been in the family since 1988. It belonged to his late father who sadly passed away in April 2014 and who used to love Wollaton show - they would always attend in the Zodiac as a family when he was a child.

As well as hundreds of fabulous vehicles at the Nottingham Motor Show on Sunday June 9th there's entertainment from Carlton Male Voice Choir, Cool Jazz and this guy! If you're a lover of the American blues musician, Seasick Steve then you might just spot the resemblance. This is Dave Taylor from Leicestershire who'll be performing from the back of his truck throughout the day!

One of the stars of this years' Nottingham Motor Show is this beautiful Titan Fire Engine. It entered service in 1955 for Nottinghamshire Fire Service, one of only eight ever built & all were for Nottinghamshire. One was written off in 1966 following a crash and the remaining seven were all retired from service in the mid 1970s. Six of the seven were stripped & sold off for parts in particular the pumps which were sent overseas to help with irrigation of fields for crop production. This Leyland was sold to Nottingham Haulier Marshall’s of Bulwell as a works fire Engine.
When Marshall’s had finished with it & upgraded it, it was was sold on to a dealer who removed the number plate PRR 1 and re registered it on the current number plate.
It sat unwanted in a field rotting until it was rescued by Terry Spalding, a retired retained Firefighter from Mansfield.
After eight years of restoration it returned to the roads of Mansfield & then went on permanent display at Mansfield Fire Museum.
Preservation work is ongoing by Richard McCarthy, Terry's son-in-law, Chairman & one of the Trustees of Mansfield Fire Museum.

We have a number of rare and unusual cars that we will be featuring in the main arena at the Nottingham Motor Show including this Ford Capri. Built in December 1968 as a pre-production model for the press launch it somehow escaped being destroyed once production was underway and not only led the 1960's procession down the Mall as part of the Queens Golden Jubilee celebrations but also featured in an episode of Top Gear marking the end of the line for the Capri! See the car and hear the whole story on Sunday June 9th Wollaton Hall and Deer Park.

The Suzuki GSX1400 is a muscle bike manufactured between 2001–2008 by Suzuki. Intended to be a faster and more torque-laden version than Suzuki's similar bandit 1200 with more up to date technology, the GSX1400 was still characterised as a "disco-era".
Tastefully modified cosmetically, as the engine is quick enough!!! with the front mudguard being the main wow factor.
