Thank you, Nottingham for a hell of a ride these past 3 years. Yet unfortunately it's my time to go home. London home. As much as I'd like to convince myself Nottingham was a home for me, for my well being it simply isn't. I'II be around again hopefully. However, for now I need to go back.
Thank you, SSPP for everything you've done for me and thanks to all my teammates I shared the ice with.
God bless and I wish everyone well š

I thought its probably around time to address this on Facebook. For those that follow me on Instagram know I am in London. I am focusing on me and my well being, whilst still developing myself as an athlete and person. Some have also wondered where I am in Nottingham as Iām not in the club sessions or kept my distance from helping and supporting around Notts. Additionally, Iād like to say this for anything that others might hear from others or anything may become miss communicated.
Thank you and god bless and hope everyoneās well š
Guildford Spectrum, Domestic comp 29/04/2023 -
And this closes my season of 2022/23 fully with my very last competition of the season finishing back home in Guildford hosted by my club Aldwych speed club. Thank you and well done to everyone that participated.
I drove home and I reminisced about my following year as a individual and athlete. What a roller coaster! Going from probably physically at the best and strongest point in my career in the beginning of the season, to wanting to open my OTS whilst bulletin down the rollercoaster drop, to finally finding the reason to continue my ride to the end. To respecting many, to respecting none, to learning none of that mattered unless I found love for myself/within myself. Going from thinking the Union Jack was what was missing in my life, to learning to accept it might be something Iāll never have, to realising my past, heritage, history, identity was what I was missing. From praying for my safety, to not praying or worrying about my next breath, to showing gratitude for; every breath I take, every colour I see, every noise, silence, hug, smile, handshake and memory I get to gather with people from all over the world.
It was by all means not an amazing season and Iām not going to act like it was but what was amazing was the ending. To share the ice and racing with amazing athletes. The smiles laughs and joy. Hope you all enjoy your off seasons and May god keep You safe. My next post Will be not Intill possibly a couple weeks! Going to take time to work in my own environment and reflect on myself as I do but at a larger and wider margin and will need time to do that.

1000m - 2nd

Easter cup, Ghent, Belgium 8-9 April 2023 -
With the last competition abroad, I was very grateful to have skated and competed in a country that holds a close and deep meaning not just to myself individually but in my skating career. Belgium, a country that started my career as a skater from the UK and where I was thrown into the deep end to meet, skate and bond with athletes from other countries. Where I was supported and grew into the confident, out going, funky individual that I am. This country started and created the personality of the kid that spoke barely any English and was shy and scared of the world of skating and I will forever be grateful! And before anything thank you Maarten Slembrouck for the invite and letting me know the details of this amazing competition and STKG: Shorttrackclub Kristallijn Gent for hosting and young skaters and current stars for the amazing racing.
Day 1: consisted of a 1000m quarter, semi and finals. Managed to get myself through good amount of skating in the B final where I finished second. Defiantly a lot of work needed to be done and a lot to take away from it. Aswell qualifying into the top half at the end of the day in the 500m quarters.
We finished of the day with a Relay which I was very honoured to skate with Robbe Volckaert very strong talented skater and after years of racing against Robbe to be in the same team, communicate, battle and push ourselves to the gold was amazing. We unfortunately suffered a fall in the early stages of the race causing us to play catch up the rest of the race. Yet it was a relay I enjoyed and loved and had most fun I have had in a very long time.
Day 2: with a good start to the day I managed to set myself up to the A 500m final. Which again was the first time I managed to share this amazing moment with Adriaan Dewagtere 5 years since our last time we shared the ice side by side. It was not only fun, enjoyable but a good trip down memory lane for the both of us. I finished third in the 500m and was able to go into the super final with 5 great Belgium skaters and one Dutch skater for final points. That race itself was very funny from my end because of the way I raced, mistakes and way I shocked myself in a 1500m race. Haha I have a lot to learn š«£

Once again was happy to skate compete and get in the groove of trying new things over and over. thank you NIRC for hosting this weekends competition the continuous challenge we give to our younger skaters when racing against us, advice and strategies we give them is one of many ways in which they can grow and develop.

I was very happy and greatful to share the ice and race against my closest team mate Kyle David MacGregor Ross-Waddell who took home the gold. Kyle to share the ice with you, to be on that line with you is something Iāve always cherished. And I only hope to continue and see you thrive the way you have mate. Nothing but the biggest of love and support I have for you and your journey in this sport š
Wishing the SSPP athletes a good down time. You all deserve it and have worked extremely hard this season. You all have put a lot of efforts in doing and getting to where you are at and hope to see you again to start the season and grow and hopefully join you for a whole season next season in your journeys ā£ļø
Current generation leading out the future generation of our club Aldwych Speed Club. Amazing comp at Guildford as always. Nothing makes me happier then hearing how different, special and up thriving competitions back home are compared to other domestics.
This was my first competition back home in Guildford since Iāve made my return to the sport and Iād like to thank everyone for all the love, support and welcoming that I received back competing. Thereās nothing more that only makes me enjoy this sport more and more is your support.
1st in the 500m
2nd in the 1000m
2nd in the super final mile race
2nd overall
What a year. By all means life never seems to disappoint with what it has to offer. To all I know I said I would keep you all in touch with how I do more often but I actually ended up stepping away from the sport last year October time. I went through mental struggles and wasnāt able to train, function as an individual and took time to myself.
However, with something I honestly never thought Iād say, Iām back with two weeks of training so far and 2 competitions under my belt. Mentally Iām still working and still growing and still going through my barriers yet I am in a much better place and supported by my own circle outside the sport that will and I will forever be greatful for. Mentally Iām climbing up the steps, yet physically Iāll need abit of time. I have and will be competing in all domestic remaining competitions and attending some other international competitions intill the end of the season.
this is the most recent photo of me competing and in action š¤š½
In addition, I have taken time away from my main social media platforms and I will do the same for this in the upcoming months. Yet when that happens Iāll let you all know.
God bless and keep safe and well š
Taking time to give back and seeing the sport from the other side š
Hello to everyone, I hope youāre well. I know Iāve been quiet, yet thatās because Iāve been extremely busy.
After the season had ended after the British championships. I decided to take time off. And to travel around the world for self enjoyment and resetting purposes. I managed to meet friends and meet new people, learn grow and almost forget about skating. Which I needed and enjoyed and loved.
But Iād like to represent to you my pre season. Where I was able to train individually, spent a month home with my home club Aldwych speed skating club. Which I loved. Thank you Aldwych you guys are a blessing, always welcoming me and making training enjoyable for me.
I traveled with the SSPP (Speed skating performance program) to an off ice camp in Spain. Where it was a cycling camp and we did a lot and I mean A LOT of cycling haha. And as a team we were able to reach our goal of cycling a total combination of 10,000km. Well done team!
And then I also then went to probably my favorite camp and place to which I look forward to going every single year and have been going since 2016 (except last year unfortunately) to another camp I was able to enjoy with my Aldwych team members in Germany, obersdorf. Where I was given the opportunity to train with athletes from other countries, meet new athletes and parents and also compete in my first competition of the season. Which was again done with a lot of joy, support happiness and memories. To which again I thank my team members for the coaches and other athletes! And I canāt wait for the season to start.
In addition, to good news, I managed to as a non runner promised myself to beat my mountain run time to which I did by a solid 7 mins! In addition, the competition went as follows ;
I managed to get myself into the A final at the 1000m to which I skated decently and got myself a 4th spot. As a athlete I was able to take alot from that race learn and also have alot of enjoyment skating it with the people I was. Unfortunately however on the next day as I hoped to get myself again into the A final and race for a top 3 spot in the 500m I had a fall in the semi final taking me to the B final finishing second in my race and overall 6th in that distance. A competition with alot of lessons about myself and also my ability and me as a skater to which I am very happy to take onto the season.
Again I am sorry for the long pause and disappearance yet now as the season starts I will update you guys more and more and as always I am greatful for all the support and love And application everyone has given me to keep my head up through the hard times. I hope everyone else is also okay and that everyone around them are blessed ā¤ļø
Donāt know how to feel or what to say as a lot of emotion had build up to the lead up to the British and at the British championships and even after. But Iād like to thank everyone first off that came to support me. To watch and also wished me luck during and before the competition. Yāall are a blessing. The past couple competitions I havenāt evaluated how I had done due to just my mental comfort. not just about myself but personal mental battles about myself within the sport hasnāt been the best. I apologise. However to sum up the weekend :
1500m - 2nd š„
500m - 3rd š„
1000m - 1st š„
3000m super final - 2nd š„
Overall - 2nd runner up British position. š„
Congratulations to my brother for becoming this years British Champion š a true representation of what a British speed skater is and a true role model of British full time athletes although living in a complete different country and made an appearance.
May god bless you all and Iām happy pronounce the ending of my new beginnings closing the 2021/22 season š¬š§
Even though With the inconvenience of time and organisation of the British, I will be skating and competing in my first senior British championships in 2022. It wonāt be what I expected nor would it be what I wanted to it be yet again I will be there, wearing the Aldwych colours, kit and at the same time enjoying everyoneās presence.
Canāt wait to see the other athletes I havenāt seen since Iāve had my time away from Nottingham Iāve been back home and in addition to have fun and hopefully have a laugh. Hope all is well and your all okay and had an amazing Easter ā¤ļøāš„
Tomorrow I will be doing my first domestic competition of the season. I would like to say my apologias for only just putting on my home suit Aldwych and yellow cover 132. But with the ongoing : lack of confidence, injuries and insecurities I wasnāt able to compete. And even-though Iām not much different this time round I think itās only right I still as a SSPP athlete who argues and believes all skaters should skate domestics I skate it for the fun joy and connection it brings to all athletes around the country.
I hope that next season things open up more and we have the ability to compete more. But none the less I want to say I canāt wait to see everyone, and also have a good day of racing āØ
I hope everyoneās well and had an amazing new year and start to 2022. Because in all honesty when It comes to me, I canāt complain. And I feel like Iāve been quiet not just on my personal athlete page but Overall I have been ignoring people and individuals and itās all because Iām working on myself.
And as you can tell by the video below I am extremely happy to announce that I am training gym again consistently. For those that donāt know due to injury I hadnāt been able to have any more then two weeks of consistent gym training since March 2021. And with the following video Iāve lifted PBS of cleans to which Iāve never done before only learned less then 5 months ago and already hitting 85kg Iām happy with all my weight lifting been on track for a whole month. And it does feel amazing. I am slowly building and yes there are some little concerns when it comes to my injuries and everything but thatās all being monitored.
For the next couple days I will be posting a video of each day of me skating and me doing gym. Iād like to announce that also I havenāt looked at any of these Iāve just cropped them to the correct length. Due to the addition of everything going well I have also been very unhappy with my skating and very unhappy with the position I am. I canāt say why and I canāt say what lead to that. But I feel like because I donāt want to see it doesnāt mean the people that follow my journeys and support me donāt get to see it. So please enjoy them and thank you all for the patients you have had with me.
In addition to the negative thoughts Iāve had towards my skating unfortunately mentally I havenāt been happy or proud of insecurities Iāve had about my body and the way I look. I am going public about this because of the many comments Iāve had about the way Iām transforming. Yes I am loosing more weight , yes I look different from a month ago and yes I am doing it in the correct way. With the right people around me and supportive team of TASS and SSPP. But out of respect please may comments about my continuous journey and body transformation be kept private as it can really mess with me. Thank you .
Otherwise through it all I have really changed my perspective on things thanks to the people I met during New Years and the many conversations Iāve had personally with some amazing athletes from all over the world and all over sports. Iām working on myself and Iām in the best place mentally I have been ever since probably May 2021. Family and friends and supporters of my journey thank you for supporting me, asking about me and caring for me. Your all wonderful and mean the world to the everyday development and growth as not just an individual but athlete am.
I still have one more run and also happy to announce Iāve officially qualified for the Europa Cup 2022 finals. Which is based on Budapest Hungry and consists of the top 8 athletes of Eastern Europe and Western Europe competing against each other. Now Iām not gonna say itās 100% confirmed or what exactly Is happening but I havenāt qualified since 2017 season where things for me started to do downhill. And to be visiting Budapest again for another Europa cup since 2016 is a honour and a meaningful piece of history and experience for me.
Thank you all and I hope your well and wishing you a wonderful week and month and year ahead with much blessings and joy and happiness ā¤ļø
And closing of my first week back on ice since November 5th. Dealing slowly recovering from a concussion, I canāt say the last month and a half has been the roses and joy to which I expected or was looking forward to two months ago preparing for competition and slowly progressing and developing day by day.
But now we start that sheet again and filling it back up day by day. Even though Iāve been out for the time being, I still dealt with a lot of stress as an athlete. Sadly consistency is far from what I would describe my year and defiantly the rollercoaster that many have told me about when it comes to being a full time athlete.
But the following video as not as great of skating as it may be itās still to inform everyone that I am on the ice, I am back with my team and back side by side with my great team as we work and grow and thrive together.
I hope everyone is well and I hope with gods blessings your all healthy š
Following some events and build up to next weeks Starclass 2 in Switzerland, unfortunately yesterday evening I pulled out and withdrew from the competition.Due to not getting the green flag to compete from professionals.Iāll for now focusing on next season as this closes any chance I have to compete abroad for the whole season. Yet without any pressure or expectation I can now continue to develop and grow as an athlete for another year in a steady pace and set myself up to be as fit as I can be for the British championships in January 2022 š
Wishing everyone well and to anyone going away to the following competition the best of luck and also all my team mates wishing them well and blessings in any point of this year and next years racing āØ
Today was my first time back coaching at NIRC in about a month and a half. And honestly I was extremely happy to see all the athletes and to know that we are back on track working and developing and growing as a club together! I feel extremely great full to have seen you all and to see your smiles and joy to do the sport. God bless you all and I hope to keep the joyful and high spirits of the amazing sport of short track ! ā£ļø
First Starclass complete ā
I was blessed to see and catch up with the many people I hadnāt seen in a while and to see them healthy and well and smiling outbid anything that weekend I had away. May god bless you all.
And with the mistakes, learning and self development Iāve had just from three days of racing, Iām becoming more and more understanding of myself. And I hope I can go into the next one well and continue to develop as the athlete Iām destined to be š
Day 3 :
Apologies for the late update yet I am safely now back into the UK and my first starclass is complete!
The final day consisted of two 1000m races to which ok the first one I felt strong, confident yet with a slip 2 laps in caused me to loose focus for a bit and the group gain a big gap on me. As we were going for times due to the fastest 3rds being able to qualify for the A finals. But I managed to professionally reset and try my best and skate to the end with a positive outlook.
I then went into the C final of the 1000m with confidence control yet again as a skater was very inpatient and I wasnāt able to understand my strengths and use them to my advantage. This isnāt me being negative yet a over view to the background review Iāve had with my coach. I hope this allows people that skate and that donāt that are following my journey to help them understand abit more about me as a person and the sport.
I overwall ended at a 11th place and with the cut of the Finals allowing 3 from one country I believe Iāve come 8th. This means Iāve successfully came back to the UK with archiving my own goal set as an athlete and the expectations Iāve been expected to have from my Head Coaches.
We are already set on new goals and a new plan to prepare for the next one and how to tackle it to assure my spot in the finals and not be holding on by a thread.
Thank you all that had joined me, supported me and keep up to date with my updates šš½ā£ļø
Solo.
Good morning guys,
Again if you wish to join me on the last day of racing today Iāll be racing between 8:45-9:00 am belguim time and then my next race is later in the day around 12:20-12-40pm.

Thank you all, Solo.
Day 2 :
With a open mind going into the 500m I canāt say that today was a day to which I am proud of. I got into a collision in my first race causing me to hurt my head and my tail bone. However Iām okay. I got into the B Final! And managed to gain final points! Putting me and moving me up the ladder in the over all ranking.
Again maybe thatās me being harsh on myself yet again it was a taste of the life of an athlete. Not everything goes our way and In addition every race and moment has a lesson to be taught! To which Iām still trying and learning. I made similar mistakes to yesterday and unfortunately couldnāt join my fellow Dutch friends Niels Kingma and Hessel Van Berkum- Dutch RTC Nord skaters- in the A Final like good old days. Very close friends of mine and talented young men and I only wish them the very best as always!
The 1000m again unfortunately not my happiest of races yet I managed to slot into the A semi again as I did in the 500m and we only hope to again push through and make our way into a B final again in the 1000m fingers crossed!
Wishing everyone well and o hope their enjoying the racing!
Solo.
Day 2 - if anyone wants to join my live I start around 14:30pm Belgium time.
The following link has the live stream - https://www.shorttrackonline.info/web-tv.php as I believe!
Today we have the 500m semi and finals and 1000m quarters ! Thank you all for the support and amazing messages after day 1 ā£ļø
Day 1 :
Due to not racing with confidence and mentally not being right for the last two years. Today I went into starclass with joy, happiness and excitement! I managed to meet many skating friends and watch them compete, coaches and managers from around Europe catching up and having a laugh. And eventhough I couldnāt stop shaking and my hands were shivering the whole day due to nervesā¦ I can say, Iām going to sleep tonight happy and I truly noticed why I love this sport and Iāll never change or swap this for anything else in the world!
In addition, I got over 2 sec 1500m PB in my first race and I was very very excited, privileged and blessed and honoured to share this race with Steenaart - Dutch national skater . And also looking at the way I raced eventhough Iām hard on myself every single time and was so so nervous having Mandy Worth on my side as coach I canāt explain the joy and happiness and comfort sheās given me to be the smiling and be the joyful person Iāve been so far in day 1.
And lastly Iāve made the A semis for the 500m which tomorrow we hope to skate fast ! Turn left ! And give it our all to not miss out on a B or A final just like we unfortunately did in the 1500m šŖš½

And with my last training session, I am happy to announce that I will be competing at this weeks Starclass 1 competition in Hasselt, Belgium. A Western European competition where skaters compete to gain spot for the 2022 junior Challenge. Where as a result the top 8 skaters from each side of Europe come together and compete against each other.
And with Gods help and guidance Iām grateful to be making my first ever debut as a SSPP athlete at this competition. Wearing the ; black , blue and white colours of our countries phenix. Iād like to thank everyone that supported me and only having my eyes open to the world of a full time athlete thriving through the hardships and the successes to be the person that I am. Iāll forever be and show my gratitude to the lord.
To join me and support me on the day. I have set up a event to which if you press on it youāll be able to find out what the competition is and how to watch !
