After a small ish break through doubt and quite frankly time, I’m back. The passion never faded and my love flowers is as big as ever!

The work that goes into a wedding day is non stop but so exciting seeing it all come together.

Putting all the ideas into place finally and watching months of preparation come to light is a joy.

And it’s not all about making flowers look pretty. Its lifting to and fro, last minute tweaking, flowers that won’t behave, clearing up foliage and water spills 💦. Wedding floristry is the most enjoyable and satisfying hard work!

🌿 There are no words to describe how much I loved doing the flowers for this wedding. The flowers, the colours, the venue, the other suppliers; all coming together to make a wonderful couples day as amazing as possible.

After the success of our Christmas workshop, we definitely wanted to do it again! Expect a yoga class, followed by a wreath making workshop using all the colourful spring flowers and foliage in a lovely new space. 🌷

🌿 Wedding Inspiration 🌿

It can be a huge struggle to picture your ideal wedding in your head can’t it? What colours do I like, what sort of flowers, where is the second cousin once removed sitting, are we having the gold candelabra or the glass, shall we have a disco or a band???!
Pinterest is a massive and valuable tool for all of these things. Put yourself a board together of all the photos you find and like. You can narrow it down at a later date, change your mind easily. Then when you are deciding on your flowers and wedding florist, you can easily show what your vision is for you day, allowing your florist to produce on point floral designs 💕

This year I will have Mothers Day flowers available (or for another special person of course). Il be offering a hand tied spring bouquet or a gorgeous large jar of flowers 🌿

They will, of course, be a mix of mostly British grown, spring flowers, no plastic wrapping, just beautiful blooming flowers!

If you want to get your hands on some, you’ll need to order by Saturday 19th March 🌿

|Blooming Business|
I’ve thought hard about where to take my fledgling business into 2022. Of course, flowering weddings is my dream job but I’ve been thinking about my personal and business values lately.
The pressure to be as good as other way more experienced florists (imposter syndrome is real) and gain more and more followers is immense and for those followers to translate into clients and let’s be honest, for that then to lead to a financially stable business supporting myself and my family doing what I love. I’ve been too worried about being too ‘niche’ and too difficult to follow my original plan for this business and wouldn’t get the followers or the business 🌿
I have felt recently that I have not been showing my authenticity. Something I value in others and their businesses. So into the new year, I have decided I will only be using British grown flowers or those that are ethically grown, no chemically dyed or bleached flowers and continue to practice sustainable floristry, supporting the British flower industry and doing a teeny bit for the planet 🌿
As florists we create a huge amount of waste and have a responsibility to consider this. This matters to me and the direction of my ‘blooming’ business and to attract like-minded clients ❤️

Thinking back to November and this fabulous styled shoot at in the beautiful yellow room.
Small, intimate set up but oh so full of extravagant, flowery fabulousness, colour and cake. It was a dream 💕
