BLOOD OF THE PAST 🦖🩸🦕
Last year we drove down to Portsmouth for a dinosaur themed beer festival on a pirate ship and whilst we were there we hooked up with the delightful Makemake Brewing Co. The fruit of our labours was Comet is Coming a blood red sour IPA with tayberry, lemon and pistachio.
Fast forward 12 months and we’ve brewed the return collaboration in the less coastal climes of Nottingham. Blood of the Past is a raspberry and coconut IPA with a natural tartness from the raspberries, a sweet creaminess from the coconut, and some extra tropical and coconutty goodness from Sabro and Citra hops.
It’s been a while since we toyed around with exploring what an IPA can be, and it made perfect sense to do this with the experimental flavour merchants at Makemake. You’ll never forget the blood of the past.

SUMMER '92 🌞
Earlier this week we caught up with legendary graffiti artist to learn where the inspiration came from for the release of our Collab hazy Summer Session IPA.
It’s single hopped with equally legendary hop Citra to give off plenty of tropical mango and bright lemon notes. It’s light and easy drinking, soft and flavoursome. Pair it with painting, friends and sunny days. Dilk's creative inspiration for the beer name and artwork comes from his love of Rave music, paying homage to 1992, the best year for the music scene and the fond memories made touring his graffiti.
The can art jumps with striking bright shapes, and the beer inside bursts with bright citrus and tropical flavours. Spend some time with Summer ‘92.

Meet our newest member of Team Neon 👋 Blair joined us after previously working as a chef for several restaurants in Nottingham. We thought we'd ask him a few questions so you can get to know him a little better.
1) What's your favourite beer? One of my favourites has to be Vampire Disco, one of the easiest drinking sours! Peanut Butter and Jelly in a beer. Insane!
2) Where are you from? I was born and raised in Nottingham, always enjoyed being in this city!
3) What do you do at Neon Raptor? I work as a Taproom Assistant.
4)Who's your favourite band? Favourite band is a hard one! Currently, I’d have to say Haywire 617 or Total Con, both insane bands. One of the best that did it has to be Disclose.
5) What's your perfect Sunday? Gotta be having a few pints at King Billy, Sneinton (snake eyes back iris) and a bit of pool. Nothing can be better.

New Taproom Mockups
If you didn’t know we’re moving into a new building across the road from Sneinton Market.
We’re building a brand new taproom and launched a Crowdfunder on our website to help fund it.
We want the taproom to have a mix of all things Neon Raptor, we want a modern bar area thats feels open and welcoming to all whilst also giving customers their own space to enjoy a beer or two.
Upstairs we’re creating an area we can hold small events, from beer tastings to video game tournaments. (We don’t know where we’ll actually get bright neon pink sofa, but they look cool right?)
We have taken some inspiration from Hungarian Ruin Bars (Szimpla Kert springs to mind) and mix that in with some Jurassic themed plants, we then want to throw in nods to 80s/90s pop culture throughout.
The walls won’t be as bare as can be seen here as we plan to showcase artwork created by our Creative Director, Heather as well as other local artists.

PERCEPTRON 🖥️🖱🍺
Machines currently have ideas based on human input, data and experience but the Perceptron is the idea that this will, and maybe already has, changed. We’re brewers not scientific theorists though, our science involves the process of turning a few base ingredients into something much more delicious, not artificial intelligence and the birth of a robot apocalypse.
Many breweries are already using AI in their everyday life, especially on their labels. Well, we buck that trend with all our artwork, and for Perceptron have reached out to former taproom hop slinger, and illustrator Liam to design this rather snazzy label.
No AI was harmed in the making of this New Zealand hopped New England Pale Ale. We’ve utilised Pacific Sunrise for some bright refreshing floral and lemon notes and backed it up with the crowd pleasing Motueka for some background tropical fruit traits.

Our Story
Neon Raptor is all about producing fantastic beers for everyone to enjoy.
It started many moons ago by brewing some super small batches on the kitchen hob with a Wilko's stock pot, some garden hose and a copper pipe. They turned out pretty awesome so we decided to see how it matched up against the rest of the home brewing world by entering it into a competition – The Brewdog Nottingham Homebrew Contest 2015. The beer which we entered won and gave us the encouragement we needed to give brewing a go for real.
The first beer we brewed was a newer, better version of the homebrew beer which won the completion. This beer now goes by the name “Endangered”. It is a 6.6% ABV porter matured with authentic Kentucky bourbon, American oak and Madagascan vanilla (yes its great :D).
We have been producing on a small scale since April 2016 and have a few different beers out there but are moving into 2nd gear with the move to our first ever home at Sneinton Market in Nottngham. This means more beer, better beer and the ability to reproduce some of our great brews on a big enough scale for you to enjoy with us!
