They’re now available at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust at Southlands and Worthing Hospitals, but here’s something extra special – you can also pick up a copy at Tesco Extra in Shoreham! 💙

It feels especially poignant knowing that during COVID times, Seaside Hospital Radio was one of three local charities nominated for Tesco’s “Bags for Life” initiative. We’re proud to continue that connection by having Seaside’s latest magazines available to pick up in-store.

Get ready for something legendary... the inaugural International Day of Birmingham (IDOB) is coming to town today, Tuesday, 24th September 2024, and it’s being spearheaded by none other than comedian and proud Brummie, Joe Lycett! 🎤🙌

To bring Brummies together worldwide, “Friendship Agreements” have linked Birmingham, UK, with other Birminghams across North America, forming the brand-new ‘United States of Birmingham’! 🇬🇧🤝🇺🇸

The day well be kicked off with a massive celebration! The day will feature a civic reception at the Birmingham City Council House, attended by Joe Lycett, American delegates, and Brummie legends from the city's cultural history—yep, even members of Black Sabbath, UB40, and Dexy’s Midnight Runners will be there! 🎶

Festivities will continue in Victoria Square from 3pm, where Joe Lycett will lead a grand Brummie parade featuring: 🎺 A brass band performing Black Sabbath’s "Iron Man"
🥁 Dhol drummers, cheerleaders, stilt walkers
🐂 A giant Chinese dragon-style bull
🎭 And a surprise papier-mâché tribute!

They'll raise the United States of Birmingham flag, designed by Joe himself, while buglers sound the specially composed United States of Birmingham Fanfare! 🎶🚩

And if that’s not enough, this momentous occasion will be featured in Sky’s upcoming series ‘Joe Lycett’s United States of Birmingham’, launching in 2025! 🎥✨
