Reader Cement Products Ltd marked a significant milestone with the successful completion of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at Arodo in Belgium. This follows the recent approval by the parent company, Langley Holdings plc, for a £5 million investment to expand Reader’s central production facility, Nottingham.

Reader employee Will and his wife Barbara took part in the 2023 Memory Walk, where they joined thousands of people walking for everyone affected by dementia. Will was walking for his Dad and raise over £1,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.

This traditional was first introduced by the current Chairman, CEO and Owner Tony Langley over 30 years ago!

What was once a handful of employees based in the Nottinghamshire area, today the Group supplies turkeys to its c5,400 employees worldwide - whether it’s for their families to enjoy or in some cases employees chose to donated theirs to food shelters, nursing homes and other charitable organisations

Just like last year Reader Cement Products’ Foreman Daren Brown and his family are spreading Christmas joy by showcasing a Christmas light show outside their home with music to raise funds for When you Wish Upon a Star, which grants the wishes of children living with a life-threatening illness.

Thanks to the parent company’s Charity Policy, open to employees and their families, the amount raised by Daren will be match funded by Langley Holdings. We wish Daren every success for his 2022 fund raising.

Langley Holdings has completed the acquisition of the Norwegian Bergen Engines group from Rolls-Royce for a consideration of €91 million. In addition €16 million of cash held within Bergen Engines AS, has been retained by Rolls-Royce.
