Hello from Cornwall!

We will be closed until Tuesday 27th August as we have a break away from the Hill with our families.

Look forward to seeing you all when we return, but for now beer, ice creams, seafood, crabbing and lie ins! 🍺🍦🐟 🦀 😴

Thanks to the The Stag Barbershop boys who sent him our way and for everyone who commented, you're right he needs to pop back for our famous Tikka Flatbread one lunch 😋

Charlie is leaving the Hill and becoming Charlie Back at School from 2pm tomorrow. Please bring your small folk down for a fun afternoon (and grab a burger while youre there!)

The shop will be closed on Monday 23rd October as we are having a long weekend with our families. See you all bright and early on Tuesday 24th.

This weekend we left the Hill and became Charlie's At The Festival.

Hey folks, sorry for the late post, but we've left the Hill (for one week only!) and headed to the Cornish coast for some much needed R and R.

Back on Monday 14th! See you then.

After 6 lovely, funny, hard working years, our wonderful Jackwaahrr left us today for pastures new 😭

This medal was not for surviving Charlie's but she definitely deserves one after that many Fridays!

We will miss her so much and wish her huge amounts of luck in her new job in education. Our loss is very much their gain.

See you soon Jacqui, but for beers not cobs!

**WE ARE HIRING!!**

We are looking for two hard working, personable people to come and join us, for around 12 hrs per week.

The ideal candidates will have experience within a food led or hospitality based industry and a level 2 food and hygiene certificate along with a full driving licence.

Please note this is a very fast paced environment, the role involves working (and thinking!) on your feet and includes all elements of shop/cafe work including food preparation, cleaning, money handling, answering phones and face to face service.

Please also note the successful candidates must be able to work in school holidays.

Are we missing a trick??

We are closing for our Christmas break at 12.30 today.

We launched our famous Christmas menu on the 1st December (without fanfare to get into our stride before we went 'facebook official') and the repeat custom and word of mouth orders have had us absolutely thronged from then until now. It got to the point we darent mention it on social media in case the shop actually exploded.

Thank you for your custom all year, whether you've been in for a bacon cob or booked a wedding buffet - we appreciate you all.

Thank you also to the hardest working team in the business: Debbie, Jacqui, Karen and Bob. Sorry for all the festive shouting and swearing (chef life!) Enjoy a lovely break with your families as I will be with mine.

As many of you are already aware, I lost my Dad a few weeks ago.

Alan was the silent helping force of the shop that always turned up whether to deliver lunches, help out, or simply to have bants with Debbie and Jacqui whilst complaining about Deb's tea!

Put simply, Charlie's would never have become Charlie's without him and we miss him every day.

We are open tomorrow as usual.

On Tuesday we will say goodbye, we are taking Wednesday off and we will be reopening on Thursday.

I would like to thank all my lovely customers for the kind words and cards over the last few weeks, whilst weve made our way through this difficult time.
