Have you had the chance to look up and marvel at the beautifully restored glass roof of The Malt Cross? Nestled in the heart of Nottingham city centre, this Grade II listed gem has undergone a remarkable transformation. Completely covered for the past 3 years, new life has been breathed into one of the city's most cherished historic landmarks.
Did you know? The glass roof at The Malt Cross is one of the last remaining Victorian music hall roofs in the UK! Originally built in 1877 and designed by the renowned Walter Macfarlane & Co. of Glasgow, this architectural masterpiece has been meticulously restored, preserving the Victorian charm that makes this venue so special.
This restoration is not just about safeguarding the past but also about embracing the future. The Malt Cross now shines as a vibrant cultural hub. Whether you're here for live music, great food, or just to soak in the atmosphere, take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship and dedication that went into preserving this iconic space.

The long-awaited Goose Fair returns to Nottingham from Friday 27 September - Sunday 6 October ๐๐ก
You can expect 9 days of incredible fairground rides, games, and food stalls at one of the largest travelling funfairs in Europe! The annual fair is beloved by locals and visitors alike for it's lively atmosphere, range of rides and impressive scale.
While attendance and soaking up the atmosphere is free, you can expect to pay for each ride or attraction separately.
While today the only goose youโll see at the fair is the two-metre timber statue that heralds its return (placed on what is known as โGoose Fair Roundaboutโ), geese did used to be all the rage. Hence the name.
A comforting pot of mushy peas is sure to warm your cockles as you wander around the fair, but donโt forget to ask for a dollop of mint sauce - itโs a Nottingham tradition!

Good morning from Nottinghamโs Lace Market!
Nestled in the heart of Nottinghamโs historic Lace Market, 'Broadway' is a street rich with history and heritage. Once the bustling centre of the worldโs lace-making industry, this charming street was lined with factories that produced some of the finest lace, sought after across the globe. ๐ญโจ
Did you know? ๐ง The Lace Market played a pivotal role during the Industrial Revolution. It was here that the famous Nottingham lace machines were developed, revolutionising the lace-making process and cementing Nottinghamโs place as a global leader in textile manufacturing.
Today, the Lace Market beautifully blends its historic charm with a lively, modern atmosphere. The old lace factories such as The Adams Building have found new life as Nottingham college, creative studios, apartments and trendy eateries like Annie's Burger Shack, making it a popular spot to explore from morning to night.
