Hi Folks, last Sunday's event was an absolute cracker and this Sunday's promises be every bit as good:

Join us at Bar One in Derby this Sunday July 28th for our second fantastic Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer in the wonderful covered beer garden, featuring 5 top comedians who will be taking their shows up to the Edinburgh Festival.

We have a couple of changes to the bill. Friz Frizzle, who absolutely smashed it last Sunday returns with a totally different set!

£12 in advance for a full day ticket
£8 evening ticket (after 6pm) can be booked on the website:
See comments below for link.

2.00pm – Andrew Bird – Ticklish Mind
When asking his 9-year-old son if he is ticklish, he replied “only my mind”. Which is a great way to describe a sense of humour. And lord knows we all need a good tickle in the mind now and then so join Andrew as he finds the funny from “Sports washing” to Spa hotels. "A brilliantly funny comedian" Russell Howard.
“Birdie supported me on my arena tour and made me laugh every night. Truly an excellent comedian.” Michael McIntyre

3.25pm – Hudson & Hudson – 2 Become Wand
When real-life married funny magicians decided to perform a double-act, they thought it would be the perfect combination of fun and tricks. However, their personal-life bickering tends to get in the way of the magic. 'Climaxes ranging from silly to mind-blowing. Two immensely engaging and talented performers' **** (BroadwayBaby.com). 'You fooled us' Penn & Teller. 'Ace. Brilliant. Authentic' (Amanda Holden).

4.50pm – Diane Spencer: Sweet & Sore Live Tour
Do you take a dangerous mole to the doctors or the vets? Dangerous moles, fudge-making and the meaning of life feature in this brilliant new stand-up comedy show from comedian Diane Spencer.
“Sweet & Sore” is her tenth show and is touring around the country. Diane’s humour is cheeky, self-deprecating and involves storytelling but is always light hearted, silly and packed with punchlines. Diane works in comedy clubs up and down the country so this is adult humour, and not recommended for the more genteel or younger folk. Sit in the front row, laugh along, you won’t be picked on and you might even get to try some homemade fudge.

6.15pm – David Eagle – The Eagle is Candid
The adventures of blind comedian and folk singer David Eagle: accosted by faith healers, bamboozling aggressive Australians and escaping arrest after a nocturnal accordion-based antisocial incident. Plus a couple of his songs, one of which was described by the Guardian as 'a comic tour de force', and another one which wasn't. Best Variety Show, Leicester Comedy Festival. 'Brilliant, nuts, heartily recommend!' (Rufus Hound). A regular on BBC Radio 4's The Now Show. Three-time winner, BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian Of The Year. Directed by Ben Van der Velde.

7.30pm – Friz Frizzle- Incredible musical comic, who will round the day off in glorious style.

'A splendid comedy beast' **** (Scotsman). ***** (Skinny). **** (Telegraph).

7.30pm – Michael Shafar – Lots to Say
Since arriving in the UK last year from Australia, Michael Shafar has become one of the freshest new voices on the UK club circuit. Come and see a preview of this dark, boundary-pushing show where Michael fearlessly weighs into the culture wars and the controversial topics that most comedians are smart enough to avoid.
