Our Group Executive Chef, Chris Bolan is spending the next few weeks working alongside our kitchen team here at No.23.
This morning he has been down to Uppingham Market to collect some fresh produce for our market day special dish which we run every Friday lunchtime for just £10!
Next week’s market day special is: Breaded Cornish plaice fillets, lemon & caper butter, roasted sweet potato served with a house salad.

The Uppingham Fat Stock Show - Wednesday 22nd November 2023
Champion pigs, sheep and cattle are primped and preened for this traditional event held in the market square. Rutland farmers proudly show off the best of their stock with the aim of encouraging people to buy British and support the farming industry
Cancelled only by war, outbreaks of foot & mouth and the covid pandemic, this will be the 117th show since the tradition began in 1889
This is a unique show being the only event of its kind in the UK still held in temporary penning in the middle of a town
If you are yet to attend one of these annual shows, why not make a day of it … we will be open all day for drinks and as usual for lunch and dinner so make sure to pop in during your visit
