A huge well done to our very own Miss Burns and Miss Beswick who completed a sponsored walk in aid for the charity MND ❤️

Oldham Roughyeds fans completed a sponsored walk in aid of the charity MND, in memory of Rob Burrow, former Leeds Rhinos player.

They walked 6.42 miles from Boundary Park to Crown Oil Arena in Rochdale, then watched the local derby match which was a thriller. Oldham beat Rochdale 14-10!

Over £10,000 has been raised for MND charity and there are more donations coming in.

This week we are thinking about the summer holidays! ☀️

Some children really struggle with the change in routine over holiday periods. You can use a visual schedule for each day, for the whole week, or even just for parts of the day to help your child understand what to expect. This can often reduce anxieties and frustration and these are familiar resources to your child that we use every day in school.

You could get your child/ children involved by asking them to draw their own little cards showing daily activities.

On Tuesday Paloma brought a very special award she has received to share with us!

Paloma was nominated by Miss Ging and Miss Beswick for Stars In Their Eyes Celebration 2024. She was nominated for the Primary category (5-11 years old), on the 23rd June 2024. The event was held at MAHDLO. Paloma was nominated for the achievement award for progress.

We are so proud of the way Paloma's confidence has grown, especially with her learning to speak, read and write in English, which isn't her first language! In Paloma's words 'When I started I was really quiet and didn't know English, but now I'm not shy and sometimes I talk too much!'

Hi everyone, we have had a few people message with regards to tomorrow so hopefully this will help.

❤️ children are to come to school in their school uniform as normal
❤️ y6 are welcome to get their shirts signed or bring a spare one in a bag to get signed
❤️ year 6 leavers assembly at 9.15am (bring your tissues!)
❤️we finish at 3.15pm as normal

We are looking forward to lots of end of year fun with the children

❤️ Stay and play sessions for children with SEND and workshops for parents of children who have/ or believe to have Autism

Today in assembly we said a huge thank you to our wonderful football team!

They have absolutely demonstrated their ability to SHINE in all of their training and matches this year and we are very proud of them!

This is an incredible achievement and great honour to be nominated by all of his team mates and both Mr and Mrs Jones. WELL DONE BENCE!

We would also like to say a very special thank you to Mr and Mrs Jones for volunteering to establish our school football team and for giving up their own time to coach the children all year! Without you the children wouldn’t have had this experience.
