The development dictated the installlation of new services and laboratory furniture (S&B furniture) during the works included the management of commissioning and sign off programme for a zero defect handover. Once the unit was clear of existing services, the design could take place for the structural requirements to be finalised having carried out instrusive surgery’s proper to commencement. This allowed the structural plant room to be configured above the laboratory therefore co-ordination of final equipment positioning was a key element to the project at this early stage. MBC then programmed and co-ordinated vital service supply chain members to ensure specific gases were installed within the parameters of the University guidelines and procedures. The installation of new services during the works including the management of commissioning and sign off programme for a zero defect handover.
