The new Royal Rover shuttle service is back and better than ever! The all-electric vehicle is providing support for our patients, especially those who have limited mobility or don’t have access to their own vehicle. 🚌 🙂
A special shout out for to our life-saving colleagues working across The Royal Oldham Hospital!
The new equipment aids the sterilisation and disinfection of surgical equipment allowing procedures ranging from orthopaedics (hip and knee replacements), vascular, podiatry, and even the birth of babies to be performed safely.
Lovely words about our colleagues who instilled this patient with confidence!

Today marks 76 years since the arrival of HMT Empire Windrush in the UK. Many of the passengers took up roles in the NHS, which launched two weeks later.
We celebrate the remarkable contribution the Windrush generation made in creating the modern Britain that we share today.
Today is World Blood Donor Day, so we want to take this opportunity to say thank you to our donors - whatever your blood type, whatever you donate, YOU make the difference for so many people.
You could be helping a daughter to fight sickle cell, a neighbour combat cancer or providing life-saving medicines to treat a newborn baby.
Have a great day whatever you're doing - just know that we think you're amazing. ❤️
Well done to colleague Maralyn who works in the Emergency Department and has now been smoke-free for over 2 months.
On World NO To***co Day she could be found at an information stand located at the where she spoke with patients, visitors and staff about her experience advising them on how they too can also quit smoking. 👏
Maralyn suffered from ill health and was admitted to hospital where she was seen by the in-house to***co dependency team CURE who recommended using an electronic v**e and it worked!!
She has already saved over £760 and is looking forward saving even more money. In a year, she is hoping to save nearly £5000 and is going to spend it on a trip to the Maldives 😀

Kind words for one of our nurses at The Royal Oldham Hospital!
The Mayor of Oldham, Dr Zahid Chauhan, visited the hospital to reveal a memorial garden in honour of the late Jordan Ryan who sadly passed away at the age of 10.
Mum, Julie, has been maintaining an area in the hospital gardens with the official opening being on a day that would of marked Jordan's 21st birthday.
Alistair Craig, Oldham Chief Officer said: “It is heartbreaking to lose a child with the memorial garden being a place of reflection in honor of Jordan. A huge thank you to her mum Julie who has spent many hours making a beautiful area that can be enjoyed by all including children.”
Kind words for a number of our colleagues at The Royal Oldham Hospital!
'Great caring staff' - That's the view of a patient relative after her sister was taken to The Royal Oldham Hospital after an accident in the garden
We're delighted that donations from our corporate supporters Foundation 92, Castore Sportswear, PrettyLittleThing and Creamline have contributed more than £8,500 towards our ! ☀️🧡 Oldham Care Organisation
