Black Circle

This week we had the pleasure of presenting our story (‘The Path to Black Circle’) to design students for University Campus Oldham’s Employability Week. We also had a tour of the studios and were blown away by the amazing facilities available for design students in Oldham.
We enjoyed it so much we’ll be there next week for chat sessions and critiques with current 2nd and 3rd year students.

Grimmfest started back in 2009 as a showcase for independent horror features and short films. Over the years, while the team have hosted hundreds of premieres and celebrity Q&As, the remit has shifted from purely horror to ‘genre film’ in all its many facets. Off the back of this sideways shift we were tasked to rebrand and create a new digital resource for the much loved Manchester institution. A subtle nod to the classic vampire fangs within the logo and a clean and simple web platform provided Grimmfest with the perfect base from which to thrive and expand.

After assisting with the relaunch of Burnley College’s website we were tasked with developing their new student prospectus and accompanying promotional campaign. The theme for the project was ‘curiosity’ and from this we developed a bold, broad-reaching range of creative; including the 200+ page prospectus, social and digital assets, posters, banners, and large scale wall graphics. The campaign was a huge success with an increase in applications and positive feedback from students of all ages.
