Been trying to paint more this year!..Here is a piece I've just entered in this year's Oldham Open..The Astoria was a music/dancehall in Oldham during the 1960's..Lots of famous artists of the day played here, including Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles..My mum was at the Beatles gig,and once told me that John Lennon stood on her hand on the stage by accident..She was taken backstage, where she met the band after the show..I was inspired to paint this as the building ( my generation will remember it as Butterflies or Rileys Pool halls?) - is about to be demolished next year.
The Oldham Open is running for the next few months at Gallery Oldham..There is some incredible art on show here by the people of Oldham! Please go and see!!

First tattoo for Ryan!!, thanks for sitting so well for it!..Some of you peeps will know that I love to tattoo Oldham pieces..For this one,Ryan wanted a tribute to our wonderful town - the owl, an old cobbled street, chimneys in the background- and if you look closely, you may recognise Boundary Park right at the end of the street!

A few pics from the Stockport Tattoo Convention over the weekend .. On sat I tattooed big County fan Josh at the show- which this year was held at his club's own stadium, Edgelely Park , which made it all that little bit special! ...Big thanks to Matty behind the scenes who gave us a small guided tour of the ground..On Sunday I was offering walk-ups from a flash sheet, and tattooed a cool pagan inspired sun and moon piece on Gary, and a teeny swallow on James, then managed to soak in the atmosphere and chill for the rest of the day..... Was such a happy, friendly Convention!..Thanks to all those who popped over to say hi and chat and bought some artwork, and it was great to meet up with some old faces too!
Huge thanks to Mike and Chris for all their efforts in organising such a fantastic show, already looking forward to next year!

Recent work!...Please not that I'm not currently taking bookings until I know what's happening with the upcoming school holidays - due to child care that I'd need to arrange...Please can I ask that anyone who has booked in recently please get intouch at least 2 weeks before you're appointment to pay a deposit..Your deposit gets knocked off the tattoo on the day, but secures your booking, and covers me if you don't show up!, as it's often the case that I can't fill the space on such short notice! Thankyou!!

Recent doggie portrait for Warren..

As a red, my soul will be eternally damned - and I tried my best to get out of this one!, but we changed the initial design to a more artistic one, and I was happy how the piece turned out..

A quick note about those who have booked in upcoming appointments:

I try to get onto your design a week or so before your app, so please don't panic if you don't hear from me before then.. of course, please feel free at anytime to message me with thoughts and ideas and I will reply. With regards to a deposit, I've been very lenient with asking for them over the years, but recently I've had a few last minute cancellations which i cant fill up in time.

So, I hope folk can understand that once I start to design your tattoo I wish to now ask for a deposit, which obviously will get knocked off your tattoo on the day ,but covers me for the design time, and if a late cancellation occurs (48hrs)..Many thanks!

A huge thanks to everyone who has been tattooed by me this year!
With so many new amazing artists popping up all the time, I sometimes feel like an old dog coming to the end of it's life!, but I'm very grateful that lots of folk still do want to get tattoos from me, so as always, I will continue to push on and learn and give you my best..Hope you all have a fantastic year in 2024!!
