The accommodation at Yalis Apartments is well-maintained and offers good self-catering facilities. The pool bar offers drinks and light meals and its a place where you can keep up to date with your favourite sports. The nearest beach is just a couple of minutes’ walk away in Achladies. This peaceful, picturesque resort has golden sands and sparkling blue waters, just like on the postcards! Water skiing, wakeboarding, pedalos and paragliding can be enjoyed at the water centre on the beach. Other local facilities include a supermarket & bakery, within walking distance, as are a handful of good tavernas offering traditional Greek cuisine. Alternatively, take the water taxi for a day out to visit Skiathos town with its cosmopolitan charm, nightlife, shops, and restaurants.

National Highways are carrying out essential overnight resurfacing works on both sides of the M56 between Junction 4 and Junction 7. Works are due to start on Monday 10th June 2024 and completed by August 2024. Closures will take place between 21:00 and 05:00, Monday to Friday, and extending to 07:00 on Saturdays. This will include a mix of full overnight closures and slip closures.

The Government has today confirmed new rules are coming in which will mean airport passengers will no longer be limited to carrying no more than 100ml of liquid and won’t have to remove large electronics from hand luggage.

The Government has set a deadline of June 2024 for major UK airports to install new security technology. In addition, the 100ml container limit will be extended to 2 litres.

This is expected to be in place by June 2024
