Prepping the rainbow ahead of tomorrow’s cook 🌈🧑🏼🍳
The next edition of IET Gardening Sundays is happening this Sunday, 17th of March from 10am at Todmorden College.
We’ve a lot of routine tidying to be done across the various beds around town, with the Friends of Christ Church - Todmorden and at the Incredible Medical Garden, Todmorden.
We also need a team of strong diggers at the stables at Haugh Road (and people to drive them there from the college please). Ian our lovely rubbish man will be taking a trailer to the stables which will need filling with manure before we take it to Pollination Street and the Medical Garden for spreading at the base of the fruit trees there.
Tall Paul will be opening up, Helena will be leading the gardening, with Fran and Paul meeting and greeting and Ian looking after waste disposal. It’s another currytastic lunch on Sunday courtesy of Karl, Ronnie & Kim from One of a Kind. They’ve promised us some classics this week, so arrive hungry.
If you’ve not been before and would like a named person to meet you when you arrive and show you the ropes on the day, just drop us a line and we’ll be able to arrange that. Kids are more than welcome with their grown ups, and if gardening’s not your thing, there are always indoor jobs to do.
See you there, Incredibles.
The humble potato, elavated! What more could you ask for on a cold Friday 🥔❤️
Who remembers this tasty little dish from June 2023? 😍
Palak Pulao and Bharwan Dum Aloo
Feeling glad it’s finally Friday! Have a laugh with us at this great security briefing 😂
Already missing these koftas… followers, do you think we should make them again some time? 🤔

🎼 THE SATURDAY SOUNDTRACK 🎼
At One of a Kind we love great music almost as much as we love great food! While we cook you can count on some tunes blasting out, and we wanna tell you who we’re listening to…
Doomsday Outlaw are in the spotlight this week - they are a blues rock group from Sheffield, with awesome riffs and powerful vocals! 🤘🏻
(Fitting that they are our first shout out, as I was inspired by their record of the week posts!)
The next IET Gardening Sunday is happening this Sunday, 18th of February from 10am at Todmorden College and it’s going to be a busy one.
We need a big team of strong ‘uns to head up to the KINDNESS sign above Morrison’s carpark to sort out some trees up there. We need lopperers, sawers and chopper upperers please.
A Little Library needs dismantling at Meadow Lane off Dale street, we have broken pipes to replace in the beautiful Golden Garden at The Golden Lion, and the Police Station beds need refilling with compost.
There are concrete toppers to sort out at the college, and dumped branches to clear from the canal towpath. If you drive and don’t mind taking ladders from the college to the KINDNESS sign or helping take heavy stuff to the tip, then you’d be our heroes.
Tall Paul’s opening things up for us, Helena will be rallying the troops, Fran and Paul will be meeting and greeting, and the curry legends Karl, Ronnie & Kim from One of a Kind will be providing a spicy lunch while we catch up with old friends and make new ones.
As always, you’re welcome to join us for lunch whether you volunteer with us or not; and if gardening’s not your thing, we always need help inside the college too.
See you there?
We will be bringing a new dish to the table this Sunday at Incredible Edible Todmorden! Can’t wait for you all to try it 🤭
TRIVIA TUESDAY - Coriander 🌿
* The name Coriander comes from the Greek ‘Koris’ which means stink bug, referring to the smell the leaves give off when bruised.
* Coriander is a wonder herb - it’s packed with Vitamins A, C, E and K, as well as having antioxidant properties.
* Archaeologists found Coriander in the tomb of Tutankhamen!
Oh to be as wrapped up and cosy as these tasty naan breads! 🥹
